Comments about Shure A15AS - In-Line Attenuator:
Does what it's supposed to do, allowing "hot" microphones to be attached to mixers, recorders and camcorders in high SPL situations, converting line to mic level and so forth. I carry two of these in my run bag at all times to solve interfacing problems that arise in the field. Simple and sturdy.

Comments about Shure A15AS - In-Line Attenuator:
There is nothing exciting about an attenuator, but when you need one nothing else takes its place. This is about the best on the market. Dead quiet, switchable attenuation, it just works as it is suppose to. Every studio should have a handful of these!

Comments about Shure A15AS - In-Line Attenuator:
I had an old one that lasted three years and started to come apart. However, I easily put it back together and it's been fine ever since. Just keep an eye on the screws that lock the XLR sockets into place. I bought a new one as back up, but I haven't had to use it yet.

Comments about Shure A15AS - In-Line Attenuator:
My Rode NT 4 is too hot for my Panasonic HMC 150s. The attenuators lower the signal so I can adujst the mike levels properly. I would normally have to take a compressor and use it only to adust the input signal. Now all I need are the attenuators.

Comments about Shure A15AS - In-Line Attenuator:
As an event videographer I often have to take a feed from the house audio board. This attenuator helps insure that the incoming signal is still usable and doesn't overload/clip my mixer input.

Comments about Shure A15AS - In-Line Attenuator:
This has 3 selectable levels of attenuation. I keep two in my kit so that I can have a shot at matching input levels on lots of different kinds of equipment. It's just good insurance !
