The Petrol PR425 Deca Transparent Raincover (Black) is a one-piece design cover made to protect a full-size broadcast video camera such as; Sony PDW-700 and Panasonic AJ-HPX2700 from extreme and adverse weather conditions. It is made from TPU (Transparent Polyurethane) for maximum visibility and waterproof nylon. The front hood section is made of lightweight, waterproof polypropylene board that offers a clear view of the camera's tally light. There is an exterior 6.0" ABS plastic track that allows the addition of on-camera mini light and/or a wireless receiver and a special waterproof zipper on the cover's viewfinder protector.
The Deca Raincover offers quick and easy access to all the camera/camcorder features and the ability to work with the camera's flip-out LCD screen while fully open. A hot shoe connector in the rigid front hood section anchors and stabilizes the cover on camera. There is a tapered auxiliary sleeve that shields the camera's external microphone.

Good rain cover, love the hot shoe anchor w/it & large clear plastic sides. Takes a little time to fit on the camera, but once you've done it - not too bad. Overall construction seems to be very good, curious to see how the clear plastic holds up over time. Good access to view LCD monitor on camera & still able to access all areas of camera.

Shot my first outdoor soccer game on a rainy day for a client and it works great. Fits very well with plenty of room for my Sony HXR-MC2000 as well as a 7" monitor mounted on the rear hot shoe. Works great on or off tripod too.

Light weight yet durable and completely water proof. Bought for Hurricane Irene coverage for FOX News and it passed with flying covers. Plenty of zippers to use shoulder mount and keep both hands in jacket or mount on tripod. Tons of clear windows for checking shots and keeping an eye on audio levels.
I recommend this product, my use was on a Panasonic HPX 500.
