Comments about Boss BR-800 4-Track Portable Digital Audio Recorder:
Dude!! YES YOU CAN BOUNCE TRACKS, this time boss just decided to call it mastering instead of bouncing... Weird if you ask me but READ YOUR MANUAL IF YOU WANNA GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR BR-800!!
THERE ARE 64 TRACKS AVAILABLE WITH THE V-TRACKS AND BECAUSE YOU CAN ONLY PLAY BACK 8 AT A TIME ONCE YOU FILL UP THE TRACKS YOU CAN "BOUNCE/MASTER" THEM ALL DOWN TO ANY OF THE 64 V-TRACKS AND THEN SELECT THAT NEW TRACK TO BE PLAYED ON THE SPECIFIC FADER ... you dont have to delete the previous tracks you can keep them and just switch the each fader to a Free V-track, then if you need to bring up the level of a previous track later on you can go back and do so!!
Also you can search for boss br-800 tutorials on youtube this one guy has multiple videos that guide you through the recording process! And if you are worried about the lack of advanced track editing BOSS JUST RELEASED NEW FIRMWARE ALLOWING MORE ADVANCED TRACK EDITING ... In my opinion it is much better to just invest a few bucks and buy the foot switch and then you can directly punch in and out over any mistakes that need correction!
OVERALL THE BR-800 IS LOADED WITH SO MANY FEATURES IN SUCH A NICE SMALL PACKAGE THAT CAN RUN ON BATTERIES AND IS A GREAT TOOL FOR MAKING HIGH QUALITY DEMOS, YOU JUST NEED TO INVEST A LITTLE TIME TO LEARN HOW TO UTILIZE THE POWER OF THIS LITTLE BEAUTY! READ, PRACTICE , PRACTICE, READ, AND PRACTICE SOME MORE!! MOST IMPORTANTLY HAVE FUN!!

Comments about Boss BR-800 4-Track Portable Digital Audio Recorder:
Reason I bought this product was because I wanted to move away from the hard drive recorders also I've been a boss user since the inception of the Boss Br532.
To me, this is an excellent recorder, but not with out its backwards function. First of all there is no way to bounce your tracks, especially if you want to add more instruments and effects from an external source.
Still Boss has the best effects for guitar and bass, though the menu is counter-intuitive.
Since i have a drum set i made my first recording with the built in condenser mics, and the quality really blew me away! With a touch of reverb, I won't didn't need my drum mics with this recorder.
I tried using the SONAR Le thar came with the recorder. I could't figure it out.
All in all a great product for me an if you're a drummer, this s a excellent product.
