Adaptimax Nikon Lens w/ External Aperture Ring Adapter for Sony PMW-EX3
This Adaptimax Nikon Lens with External Aperture Ring Adapter allows you to use Nikon lenses with external aperture rings on your Sony PMW-EX3 video camcorder. Sigma and Tamron lenses will also work, as long as they have external aperture rings. Lenses will have a magnification factor of 5.4X when attached to the Sony PMW-EX3. This is perfect for shooting telephoto and macro footage. You can now get images that were impossible with the stock Sony PMW-EX3 lens.
The Adaptimax adapter is CNC milled from high grade aluminum, before being anodized. It is then fitted with a brass Nikon mount that is chrome plated. This durable adapter is built to last.

As beautiful as the Sony supplied Fujinon lens is this adapter gives my old Nikors a new life.
Beautifully machined, well made, and excellent quality. If you have unused Nikon lenses (or Canon EF's, there is another adapter specific for them) I highly recommend this product. It makes the EX-3 that more versatile. A Nikor 50mm becomes a 270mm given the image sensor area.

I have owned this adapter for a couple of weeks and its been invaluable to me. With a Nikon 80-200mm 2.8 I can get telephoto shots impossible with the PMW-EX3 lens, because of the 5.5 X magnification. A 200mm lens becomes an 1100mm telephoto and I can get great shots from a distance away with edge to edge sharpness.
