International orders*The Swift M10DB-S Binocular Microscope has a built-in 3 megapixel camera that allows you to document your work at a resolution of 2048 x 1536. The internal camera allows you to use the eyepieces at the same time as the camera. You have an USB output that provides a direct connection to your PC or Mac, and Motic Images Plus software is included.
The microscope features 4XD, 10XD, 40XRD, 100XRD semi-plan objectives along with a Siedentopf head that provides larger interpupillary range and is positioned for operator comfort. The head is inclined 45° for easy viewing and the eyepieces are 20mm, W10XD for increased field of view.
The inward-facing (reversed) nosepiece allows you to have clear access to the stage for slide manipulation. There is also a swing-out filter carrier that will accommodate various diffusing filters. The LED illumination allows for variable intensity that provides an energy-efficient, cool, white light. Given the extraordinary life of the LED bulbs, it is unlikely that the lighting source will ever need replacement.

Comments about Swift M10DB-S Binocular Microscope (Corded):
I am going to use this microscope to photograph planktonic organisms. The LED lights allow the stage to remain cool enough to look at living plankters. The optics are good and the camera has a good interface with the computer.
I found a couple of faults that may not be a problem for everyone.
1) The Motic disk would not play on my 2009 computer using Vista. I had to call Motic, register with them, and download the software. The download took over two hours using fiber optics network connection. It would take about 10x as long using DSL. I am not 100% clear whether I have the most recent version, because right clicking does not save the image and this is supposed to be a feature of the latest version.
2) The swing out filter holder has a permanently attached frosted glass filter. I would like to use a variety of different colored filters, but would have to place them on top of the permanent frosted glass instead of nestled in the filter holder. Unfortunately, there is very little clearance between the frosted glass filter and the condenser. I am not sure how to fix this. I hate to unscrew anything, but maybe I will loosen the filter holder and install a spacer washer.
3) The receptor for the USB connection cord has a lot of wiggle. It seems to be loose. I am not sure if this looseness is getting worse or not.
