I have been a fan of MP3 USB dongles since the days when they were most popular from 2002-2005.
The first one I owned was an ultra back in the day before they were discontinued and wondered why they were so rare and now they are back.
This mp3 player is the best in its class I have ever used having owned several dozen, and having lent them all out and never getting them back.
Just plug it into your usb port and use as any standard usb thumbdrive, drag and drop all your music files to it, and then anything else you want to tag along, will hold any and all data, word files, videos, anything..
It holds an sd mini which is great as it's concealed and the usb is retractable.
Has many good features including FM transceiver and the ability to preconfig the onboard software to run according to your listening preference according to genre.
The included manual covers the basics but there are many awesome features that are installed which are not mentioned.
I have this Archos with a 32gig sd card in it and use it as a storage depot for many types of data to be used as my main mobile dongle.
Once again people are asking me where they can get one, etc.
IF you are looking for a smaller form factor mp3 usb dongle this is the one to get!

I bought this as a gift for a non techie friend. I did a bunch of review checking from this sight and others and couldn't find anything in the $25 to $40 price range with better reviews.
The other caveat to the gift was that I would load the music. This was easy as a drag and drop function in Windows but I can't get the songs to stay shuffled. The music seems to start at the first song each time.
The 'key' also doesn't restart from where you left off the last time you turned it off (bookmark). I also don't like that you have to hit 2 different buttons to increase the volume.
I haven't given it to my friend but don't think he will
like it because of the difficulty of use.
For me, it would be fine, since I now know the product and am not that bothered by how difficult it is to deal with.

Excellent for the money however don't get excited about the FM transmitter because it is so underpowered it does not even function. the device has to be right on the antenna for it to work. Transfer speed is quick and navigation is easy. Sound quality is excellent for a thumb size MP3 player.

The player is very user friendly and easy to use. I like it because it has lots of functions all in one. A mp3 player, radio, usb drive, a recorder. Also what i like about it is that it has a fm transmitter, the only thing that I don't like is that you have to keep it close to the radio so it could receive the signal. Also, what I like very much, and that's one of the reasons I bought it, it has an sd extension slot, you can change music by changing the card, don't have to erase and write new music like I had to do with my old player. Well, I recommend it to everyone, its not expansive and has lots of function all in one.
