The EDM-1818M Pre-configured for 9 x 9 DVI Matrix is a comprehensive solution for managing DVI inputs from several sources and relaying them to multiple monitors. The base EDM-1818M model is capable of integrating up to 18 different channels through the input/output ports in the back panel. These allow the EDM-1818M to support digital signals in DVI, HDMI, SDI, and Display Port formats. The pre-configured 9 X 9 DVI matrix router comes with 6 DVI cards for a total of 9 inputs and 9 outputs and the modular design of the EDM-1818M makes it easy to add on more expansion ports if required.
Various user interface options make the EDM-1818M user-friendly; the hardware sports a nifty touch panel to easily access menu options. In addition, this matrix router can be remotely controlled via LAN (TCP/IP) or the RS-232C COM port. When it comes to digital video, the EDM-1818M can handle DVI signals of up to WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution. It even supports non-VESA resolutions, making it suitable for devices with unique resolutions such as specialized cameras or digital projectors. The EDM-1818M has built-in noise protection circuits in all the input/output ports to ensure that signal clarity is not lost and digital data stays intact.
The DVI matrix router also includes the EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) function, allowing it read information from digital inputs. This EDID information is automatically stored in a dedicated read-only memory for future reference. The flexible EDM-1818M (pre-configured for 9 x 9 DVI Matrix) has plug-and-play functionality that makes it very easy to set up, install, and configure.
