The ARM Electronics VC3P Mini Balun with Push Terminal is a single channel balun that allows a converted coaxial signal to be transmitted over a Cat5 UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) cable, eliminating the need for coaxial cable. With UTP cabling, the balun increases the strength of the signal by reducing unwanted noise.
The balun allows transmission of color video up to 1000' whereas the maximum distance for B&W video is 1968'. When used in conjunction with VC1632A active receiver hub, the color video can be transmitted up to 3200'.
Equipped with a push terminal connection, the easy-to-install VC3P video balun requires only a pair of wire cutters or strippers for installation. The mini, compact size video transmission device measures 2.4 x 0.7 x 0.6", allowing it to fit securely inside most camera housings. Unlike amplifiers, which require additional power, the twisted pair balun can send video without any added power requirements.
