The ARM Electronics VC4P Mini Push Terminal Balun with 4" BNC Cord is a single channel balun that allows a converted coaxial signal to be transmitted over a Cat5 UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) cable, eliminating the need for coaxial cable. With UTP cabling, the balun increases the strength of the signal by reducing unwanted noise.
The balun allows transmission of color video up to 1000' whereas the maximum distance for B/W video is 1968'. When used in conjunction with VC1632A active receiver hub, the color video can be transmitted up to 3200'.
Equipped with a push terminal connection model, the easy-to-install VC4P video balun requires only a pair of wire cutters or strippers for installation. The mini, compact size video transmission device measures 5.7 x 0.6 x 0.57", making it ideal for use with DVRs, monitors, multiplexers and any other devices with multiple hook-ups. Unlike amplifiers, which require additional power, the twisted pair balun can send video without any added power requirements.
