The ARM Electronics 4-CH 500GB H.264 DVR incorporates many of the features required by today's security professionals in a space-saving design. It boasts the efficient H.264 compression method to maintain quality video images while maximizing storage space and network resources. Its 120 FPS recording frame rate translates into smooth video playback for each camera input. It also comes with an updated graphical user interface to facilitate quick and easy setup and operation.
Other important features include a VGA output for versatile monitoring options, motion detection for easier file searching, and an RS-485 communication port for controlling a PTZ camera directly from the DVR. Another useful feature is the DVR's covert camera function, which will allow any camera to be selected to record in the background without actually appearing on the monitor.
Thanks to its built-in multiplexer (triplex) and Linux-based operating system, this DVR can execute multiple functions without adversely affecting performance.
