The ARM Electronics 16-CH 6TB Full D-1 H.264 Hybrid DVR supports a real-time recording speed of 30 FPS per channel at the highest resolution of 720 x 480 pixels (D-1). This translates into smooth video playback for each camera input with every frame accounted for. Real time viewing is possible even in full screen mode without the problems of pixelation. In short, you'll get out of this DVR exactly what you put into it.
Thanks to its use of the efficient H.264 compression method, this DVR can deliver this level of performance without overwhelming storage and network resources. Additionally, the DVR features a built-in multiplexer (triplex), which operates together with the unit's Linux-based operating system to ensure a high degree of stability even when executing multiple functions simultaneously.
This DVR records 16 analog cameras directly plus an additional 8 IP camera over the network. Supported IP cameras include those from ACTi, Axis, ViVoTek, and Sony. A hybrid DVR is a great option for those looking to benefit from the latest in IP technology while keeping their existing analog equipment. Another advantage of a hybrid DVR is the ability to record ultra high quality video with a superior level of detail from IP megapixel cameras.
This DVR allows frame rates and resolution to be individually set for each camera channel. A built-in calculator provides a handy way for figuring out what's needed in terms of storage space based on the required recording days.
In addition to its built-in HDD, this DVR allows footage to be easily offloaded to an external USB HDD or storage device. A USB thumb drive can also be used to store often used DVR settings, which will help in setting up multiple DVRs.
