The Wolverine SNaP 35mm Slides, Negatives, and Photos to Digital Image Converter is a scanner which can quickly digitize (in under five seconds) and preserve your valuable film images, slides and prints. The SNaP scans an image at an interpolated resolution of 3600dpi, and files are saved in its 16MB internal memory (10-15 JPEG images) or on memory cards. You can elect to transfer images to your PC or Mac computer via the included USB cable without installing any driver or software (plug-and-play).
The built-in 2.4" (6.1cm) screen allows you to view images while scanning, adjusting and playing slide shows. Your originals are placed into one of the included dedicated slide or negative cartridges or print frame adapters and loaded into the machine, one frame at a time. Cartridges will accommodate four slides, a strip of six negatives, and frame adapters will hold one 3 x 5", 4 x 6" or 5 x 7" print. With one-touch buttons on the top of the unit, scanning, editing and saving functions are made easy.

We have old negatives in boxes, and old prints missing the negatives. Some go back to the 1950s. I researched different models and this is the best, for price and quality and ease of use. This Wolverine SNaP converts easily and quickly. We can, but don't have to hook it up to the computer as we use it. We can spread the prints out over the kitchen table and convert them to the SD card. Love it!

I used it to convert slides, photos and Film. For photo conversion it is great. For film and slides conversion it has a few problemsIt is not scanning the entire slide(i.e. either one side of the slide or the other will be lost based on how you insert the slide holder because the actual scanning surface is smaller than that of the slide). This is a big problem because if you have pictures and words on the slides then either part of the pictures or part of the words are gone. So to get both we have to scan each slide twice one one half first time and then the other half and later photoshop them. Doing this is a pain in the [*]. I had the same problem with the film but not as bad as the slides.I sincerly hope that they correct this.

Comments about Wolverine SNaP 35mm Slides, Negatives, and Photos to Digital Image Converter:
Very easy to use, scans negatives very clearly, allowing us to get back some old pictures we haven't seen in forever. Quality of scanned photos is not as great as a flatbed but works well.

Comments about Wolverine SNaP 35mm Slides, Negatives, and Photos to Digital Image Converter:
I was looking for an easy to use, light device that does a better than average job of digitizing the 35mm slides, 35mm negatives and assorted size prints.
Pros:
Light weight easy to store
35mm Slide Holder opens easily & dirctions are clear
Print Holders are very easy to use
The results scan is clear on the computer screen. I haven't tried to print any of the scans so the jury is out on the image quality.
Cons:
The 35mm negative holder is very clumsy to handle
& almost impossible to open.
Overall for the price I am happy with it. Even if I just use it for the 35mm slides and prints it will be a time saver and is within my budget constraints.

Comments about Wolverine SNaP 35mm Slides, Negatives, and Photos to Digital Image Converter:
This converter is easy to use and yields excellent results. Slides and negatives were converted with better dynamic range and clarity than with x-ray flat-bed scanner with the appropriate 35mm frames. Very nice device!

Comments about Wolverine SNaP 35mm Slides, Negatives, and Photos to Digital Image Converter:
I needed to convert some old slides to digital. This product worked as it stated. I didn't have any resolution or quality issues as a result of using the converter per the specifications. I am a graphic designer by trade and well versed in Photoshop requirements, albeit the product was used initially for a personal project. My only (small) complaint is that it wouldn't accept large negatives for conversion, which I could use professionally.

Right out of the box, it worked as described. Had a good experience using it the first time. I did not experience any problems, as described, when reading previous reviews. Within seconds, my slides were converted to digital. Was then able to manipulate them in Corel to actually improve them!

I am going back through drawers of miscellaneous exposed film negatives and converting them to jpegs for posting on Facebook. So far, I have managed to embarrass several friends and family members with pictures that they thought, and hoped, were gone forever.
I took the unit out of the box and was using it in minutes. The directions were clear. The only thing that needs improvement is that the tray that holds the negative is not easy to open. If you have lots of negatives to convert, it slows you down a little.
My fiancée wasn't impressed with my purchase of this unit, until she saw the results. Now, she wants to go back though her negatives and convert them.

I bought the product to convert negatives to digital photos. It was easy to use but it left a bright light spot in the corner of the photo. I called the company and sent it back and waiting for a replacement.

I have the product to be better than a previous hp scanner designed for slides I had used. I was able to figure out how to use it successfully and easily. I liked the quality comparison of the wolverine to the previous scanner significantly. The exposure piece is a little to be desired but overall I find it to be an improvement over the previous product by the sharpness of the image.

I'm using this product to convert some of my old 35mm negatives and slides to digital. I must say, it is a marvelous product and I'm glad I purchased it. My only disappointment would have to be that the digital image is very grainy. Otherwise, it is excellent!!

Our school is using this to convert old slides. It is great! We have already produced a Powerpoint with some of the pictures. Quality is more than we expected. It is fast.
We really like the idea that it does not connect to a computer - that it is standalone.
YEA!

Will commit thousands of slides and b&w negatives to computer. Primary goal; protection. Secondary goal; single source of my pictures for future editing.
Small footprint.
Carrier for b&w film fits tightly. A good thing, but is a bit difficult. May loosen with usage.

I have only converted 250 slides and 1 photo. It is very fast and easy to operate. Some slides come out too dark. The slide holder is loose in the SNaP but that lets you adjust the slide position so it is not a big deal.
