I use it in 2 monitor setup, other one is CRT (ViewSonic professional) for critical color viewing.
I bought this one for 3D modeling as it is big enough to view all the interface elements I need, at arm length distance. Also, it has great contrast with just perfect brightness - all is crisp and vivid, never too bright or too dark. My eyes never got sored with it, for two months now. Not even after a few days of more than 12 hrs/day of continuous work.
Also, great software comes with it to easily set up brightness, contrast and color to best suite your environment. You can also save different custom profiles to suite different light conditions that occur in your room (e.g. Night, Day, Cloudy Day, etc). Use it!
In my opinion: it's either this one, or any other 10 times more expensive. So it was just logical...
This was my choice as I don't expect from it color perfection. All the other aspects are great: uniformity of both black and white (just set it up properly), flicker (none), physical aspects also (stand and firmness), contrast, brightness (just set it up!) Don't just turn it on and expect it will be good - just like any other LCD, even those much more expensive - it requires some time to properly set up contrast, brightness and color.
I am truly enjoying such a good picture quality and great value of this monitor.

I bought this monitor to use alongside my NEC P221W to relieve the clutter on that monitor. It does what I bought it for very well, but it suffers by comparison with the NEC. When adjusted to approximately the same brightness level so as not to be distracting it is not uniformly illuminated across the entire screen. I like the matte screen and frame, but not the lack of a height adjustment.

I have two of these in my music studio. They do what I need them to for a pretty good price. Detail isn't anything like an apple cinema display but it's decent. I have the H233H and my bro has two similar Acer monitors. They're nothing terribly amazing but they've always been good cheap reliable get-the-job-done monitors.

The screen needs a bit of adjusting for color, it's quite different than my laptop monitor that it's attached to. Other than that, it's a great product and the price can't be beat.

I'm a software engineer and need dual monitors for writing and testing software. These work perfectly. I'm not a gamer, so no comment there. The only thing I miss is the USB ports on some more expensive monitors and they aren't height adjustable. I knew that before I bought them though, so I'm happy with them. Exactly what I expected, no more or less.

I got it for my wife for Valantine's Day and she loves it. It was easy to sent up and it makes her time online a lot more enjoyable. She now can see the whole window without scrolling.[...] :-)

Comments about Acer V223W 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor (EPEAT):
The V223W 22" widescreen monitor is pretty nice for the price. I've been playing games using it at 1680X1050 and it looks terrific. I did only give it 4 stars though, since the contrast ratio and backlight are VERY bright. It's so bright that it took quite a while to get the brightness and contrast settings to where they don't blind you when you go to a website with a white background. Besides that one little issue though, it's very good. The monitor tilts forward or back easily and that's really the only adjustments that are important to me.

Bought two of these monitors to setup dual monitors at home that are docked to my laptop. Monitors work great, and setup was very easy. Also comes with DVI connection which was a plus.

I'm still getting used to viewing such a big area after looking at a 15" for so many years. I also have a lot more room on my desk now with this flat, thin monitor! It's great.
