I'm a professional wedding photographer and 4/5 of my cards are Lexar. I always shoot in RAW, and the card holds almost twice as many photos as my camera tells me it will when I insert the empty card (it guesses I have room for roughly 800, I can usually fit upwards of 1600). The only complaint I have is that when I turned my camera on to view photos I'd already taken, there was a 2-3 second lag time for the photos to show up on the screen. Also, when loading the photos onto my computer, it took me 45 minutes to load 1600 photos, but that could easily be due to my card reader or the fact that I shoot RAW. A good card for the price it is, though, if you need cards quickly without forking over a ton of money.

These cards are solid performing, but showing their age with modern cameras. As a Canon Shooter, even a 40d is faster than these cards for sporting events, although for the $/gig they're worth it unless you really need serious high speed shooting.

Comments about Lexar 16GB Platinum II 200x CompactFlash (CF) Memory Card (One Card):
I'm using the Lexar Compact Flash card in my Canon 5DM2. I'm mostly shooting stills for now. The media transfer rate from Canon to computer is very fast. A friend recommended I buy a card reader, but I don't need it with this card.
I also use Lexar SDHC Cards in a video camera I use. They are reliable and really the Cadillac of media cards in my opinion.

After 4 months of use in my canon 30D, the card will take photos, let me see the previews in the camera BUT ...................once I put into my usb to be read by my computer it says error. I formatted the card many times, taken photos but still the same issues.

This memory card is used for personal photogrphs. It will be used in Tanznia on a coming trip to Africa. Thus far for photographs of local animals and birds it has performed well. I am very pleased with the rurchase. John Derby

I was using two 8GB cards to cover my events. Upgrading to the 16GB helped avoid losing any moments to shoot, without having to switch cards. Platinum II makes it a quick snap, and also a quick transfer.

Comments about Lexar 16GB Platinum II 200x CompactFlash (CF) Memory Card (One Card):
I love this card. I almost can't shoot faster than it can take the RAW images. I am shooting with an Olympus E-510 and when I was using XD cards I had to shoot JPEG if I needed to shoot a lot of exposures fast. Now with this Lexar I can shoot RAW and the memory card can keep up. Plus I love being able to store 600+ images (RAW) at once.

Comments about Lexar 16GB Platinum II 200x CompactFlash (CF) Memory Card (One Card):
Saying this card is UDMA compatible is marketing mumbo jumbo. It may be compatible, in that it will work as a NON UDMA card in a UDMA enabled device, but so is every other non UDMA card. The words UDMA should not even be on the card! Even the Lexar tech support was confused, and told me it will work - with UDMA features.
Fast?? The card is slower then my 133x Kingston and older 80x Transcend.
Pay a bit more and get the Pro UDMA enabled card.
Application: back up to my Lexar Pro UDMA 300x on D3s's. Dunno, but Nikon approves this card!, but does not mention the Pro UDMA - which work great with the D2x, D3 and D3s.

Great reliable memory card, with a more then reasonable price for the product bought. Lexar memory cards very fail to be compatible with Nikon products and perform well every time. 200x Writes almost unnoticeably slow

Comments about Lexar 16GB Platinum II 200x CompactFlash (CF) Memory Card (One Card):
I tend to trust Sandisk, Kingston and Lexar, having had one bad experience of an off-brand card dying on me. This card is an older version, and I trusted it with a whole wedding, which is pretty risky (if you know what I mean!). I noticed that the read/write speeds were a bit sluggish when I was reviewing images, but it did the job without fail. I also do landscapes, so the need for speed isn't there so much as during a fast-paced portrait event.

The 16 G CF card I bought is for use with my Sony A900 24 meg full frame camera. The thru put is very good and it writes to the card very fast. I shoot a lot and sometimes in long burst so i require a Cf Card to be able to write to it fast. The Lexar did great.
