View Similar ItemsThe Vello TTL-Off-Camera Flash Cord provides creative photographers with the ability to remotely fire off-camera Nikon speedlights. Removing the flash from the camera's hot shoe allows the photographer to create unique and dramatic lighting styles that are not possible with a traditional shoe-mounted strobe.
One side of the TTL cable fits directly into the camera's hot shoe to ensure that all of the camera's exposure data is maintained. The other side can be attached to any stand, tripod, or device with a standard 1/4"-20 threaded stud or flash shoe mount.
This coiled cord measures 6.5' (2 m), which accommodates shooting with the flash mounted on a lightstand and with an umbrella, while staying in close proximity.
Other available lengths are:

Comments about Pearstone TTL-Off-Camera Flash Cord for Nikon - 6.5' / 2.0 m:
Wasn't sure if the cable would work as my Nikon is so Old -D100. But it works just fine. the cord comes off the camera to the side, so it doesn't get in the way very much. It has a good stretch so I can hold it off camera the full length of my arm without tugging on the camera itself. Haven't tried mounting it to a stand yet.
One thing that would be nice is if the camera mount had a non-working "shoe" on top of it so I could mount the flash (with cable attached) to the camera. (My arm gets tired from holding the flash all the time.)
It's a little pricey but still cheaper than the Nikon Branded cable.

I like a quality product, but sometimes you are just paying for the name. This is a good product that produces the same results at half the cost.

Comments about Pearstone TTL-Off-Camera Flash Cord for Nikon - 6.5' / 2.0 m:
This is very good heavy duty chord for getting the flash off of the camera. The only drawback I had was that the heavy coiled chord is very strong and required that the stand I put the flash on was also heavy if I used the chord stretched out most of it's length. Otherwise I highly recommend this chord for off camera use and felt it was a good deal for the price.

I've seen other pro photographers use this before and have seen the great work it can generate with some creative side lighting so I decided to try it. Awesome stuff! I love this new gadget and have already used it once. I imagine I'll keep getting better with it with every new event.

make sure the flash is held secured on a sturdy tripod, or you need to secure the camera to the tripod while holding the flash in hand.

I use this when doing certian photo shots, mainly with kids and pets. It's great and with the speed light I have, it's easier to get the light correct. Not a Strobflash but it helps keep the cost and weight down for portablility, and really small rooms.
