The PT-28 is a 28" adaptor cable. The PT-28 convert a 2-pin PowerTap connector to a 4-pin female XLR connector. This allows the on-camera battery to power the original Anton Bauer Ultralight with 4-Pin XLR connector or any 4-pin equipped accessory.

Comments about Anton Bauer PowerTap-28 28" PowerTap to 4-pin XLR:
What I like is that it is solidly built and adjustable. It does the job.
This unit plugs into the back of my Marshall monitor, which is mounted on a DSLR Redrock Micro Shouldermount rig. The other end is attached to a Canon DR-E6 DC coupler, otherwise the cable would not be long enough to reach the battery pack on the back of my shoulder mount.
The right angle is adjustable, which is very helpful. However, I gave it four stars only because I wish I were able to adjust it to even more angles off the back of my monitor.
No reason not to buy it; however, if your considering it. I don't know of another cable that is more flexible, solid and dependable, to boot.
