Comments about Acecad DigiMemo L2 Digital Notepad with Memory:
I bought this to convert my handwritten notes, taken while with patients at work, to text in my computer. It started out working fairly well. I am interested only in the conversion to text feature. I did have to work very hard at making my handwriting neater. There is a way to train the program, but you have to buy the full version of MyScript to use this feature. I'm still in the trial period, so have not bought it yet. It might improve the handwriting to text conversion even better. You can use your own paper. The pen has a very nice feel to it, feels like a real pen, nice in your hand, and writes smoothly and easily on the paper. I was very happy with this product, until after two weeks, it froze up and quite working. Tried everything, removed the batteries and replaced them. I could turn it back on, but it remained frozen-- broken, useless. There are very few instructions which come with this product, and very little on line. Nothing that would help with this product. B & H will exchange it, and I will try it again, but it's very disappointing that it failed after two weeks. Guess I'll give it a try again with a new unit.
