The Case Logic SLRC-205 SLR Sling (Black) is a nylon bag with a memory foam interior that helps protect the delicate LCD screen. The SLR Sling wears like a backpack but allows for instant access to the SLR and accessories. A hammock system suspends the SLR above the bottom of case, providing impact protection. There is a large zippered compartment (7.5 x 3.75 x 3.0") that stores an additional lens or flash. There are 3 zippered pockets that store memory cards and other small items. An industrial strength hook and loop strap can carry a tripod. The adjustable shoulder strap with waist strap prevents the sling from jostling around during activity.

As a professional photographer who divides his time between photographing boats and marine scenics in the summer and mountain and wildlife photography in the winter I was in the market for a carry bag for my Nikon D7000. I wanted something small and compact enough to make it easy to carry while at the same time substantial enough to protect my camera and 2 lenses. Sadly, I was not able to find any cases that really met my needs but this one seemed close so I gave it a shot.
On the good news front the case is well made of high quality materials. It is also very comfortable to carry. Better yet it is just deep enough to allow me to carry my D7000 with the 70-300 mm telephoto attached as long as I remove the lens shade. While it takes a little effort, there is also enough room on the left side for the carrying strap to be tucked into the case as well.
The main pocket is also more than large enough to carry the 70-300 when I replace it with my 16-85 telephoto.
Now the bad...
While I can't imagine ever going into the field without a spare battery, a couple of spare cards, a couple of filters, a cable release, some lens tissues, and a few other odds and ends there is simply no real place to stash these items.
There could have been, mind you, except the space was used for a "Tripod Holder" that is next to useless for serious photographers. The only tripod you could carry with this pack would be one of those wobbly tabletop jobs. Any serious tripod would be far too heavy and bulky to carry with this pack.
So what could have been a great pack is now only a pretty good one that requires you to either carry another pack for the sort of items referred to above or leave them home. I wound up using a fanny pack but in the winter when wearing a heavy outer jacket this can be a real hassle!
All this said, having owned 3 Case Logic camera packs I would have to say that this company offers great quality at a very reasonable price. Now if only they will add a decent sized pocket to this otherwise excellent pack we'll be all set.
By the way, a few reviewers complained about the zipper on the main compartment being of poor quality and hard to use. There's nothing wrong with this zipper it's just that like all zippers it doesn't like turning sharp corners when pulled at a certain angle. A simple solution is to use one of the two zippers for 75% of the opening, and the second zipper only to open the remaining short side.

The strap is comfortable, but other than that it's not very impressive. There aren't enough compartments to keep your cards and cleaners in. If you want to pack anything other than the camera and two lenses there is little space. You can put a small flash below the camera, but if you need to get it out it's not easy. When putting your camera in the bag you have to cram the strap between the side of the camera and the bag and it's a bit of a nuisance. It's not designed very well.

This is a great bag for carrying the basic equipment for a day sightseeing. It's comfortable and seems to be of sturdy construction. The only thing I would change would be to have the main pocket unzip outward, rather than inward (hard to explain, but you'll know when you see it).

If your need is to walk light with 1 SLR with Lens + an extra Lens + Tripod with Head + small accessories like cards, lens pen, shutter release, a pocket size small note book, etc.... then this would be the best bargain considering the quality and comfortability of the bag.

With the weight of the Slr and 2 lenses. The bag slides down on the back. It makes my back and shoulder hurt after packing it around all day. The bag is not interchangable with shoulders.

I use it to store my canon T3i with a 50mm lens attached to it and a kit lens 18-55 lens in the side pocket with a cleaning cloth for the lens and I also keep my charger in the middle pouch it's also great cause I can carry my tripod attached to this bag. If your looking for a bigger bag then this won't be it. It only holds 1-2 lens but for me that's just enough. I highly recommend this bag for beginners.

Comments about Case Logic SLRC-205 SLR Sling:
I use this case to transport my Nikon D3100 and accessories to take photos at any time. The camara and equipment are with me at all times when out. The bag carries both my lenses,18/55 and 70/300 zoom in side compartment with room to spare or with either one attached to the camara wnen in the main sling compartment. There is plenty of room to carry all my needs ,spare cards, cleaning kit, battery charger, filters, tri-pod etc, etc. With everything in it, it still swings around to the front for easy access to the camara and spare lens and other items. With tri-pod attached you have to remove it to access the front compartment. Not an issue if you pre plan your days events for tri-pod use. I compared this bag to many others with the same design features and at this price beat all the others with a savings of $45.00 to $125.00. Great purchase ! I would recommend this product to anyone who needs a case to protect and carry their picture taking investment !!!

This is a great bag. It hold my Nikon D5100 with the 18-55mm lens attached (in suspension), with the second lens (Nikkor 55-200mm VR ED IF) in a compartment next to it (with plenty of room to spare), spare memory card and spare battery in a pocket, 2 filters in another pocket, and my monopod strapped on the outside the case with the velcro,
In practice, I will likely take only one lens with me and use the second compartment for water bottle, sandwich, or snacks. This is a perfect bag to carry my DSLR with all its common accessories while not attracting attentions from others (can't really tell it's camera bag) and remain stylish. Love it.

I was looking around for something a little cooler then the normal, boring, ugly, nerdy bags out there. Its very comfortable, very easy to access on the go and fits a lot more then it looks like it would. I can get my Sony A580 with a 18-250mm lens (with hood) perfectly, charger, extra battery and cables with no problems at at. Its almost like it was custom made for me and my stuff... perfect! If you wanted to carry another small lens (like a nifty or similar)it would fit too (just). Very nice indeed.

This bag fits our gear well - a DSLR and two lenses, as well as the charger, computer cords, remote, tripod adapter, etc. We bought it to use on vacation; at home, I store the camera and gear in it. I like that the bag is on my back and not hanging around my neck or falling off my shoulder. Another great feature is the sling construction that suspends the camera & lens for extra protection. We are very happy with our purchase.

Comments about Case Logic SLRC-205 SLR Sling:
Very comfortable on the shoulder. I use it for my Nikon D5100 + 18-55 + 70-300 kit.
The camera easily fits into the main compartment with my Nikon 70-300 VR (without hood) attached to it. 70-300 fits into the side lens pocket also. Guess that should give an idea of the bag's size.
Wish it had a hook or clip to attach an additional lens case. Also, the main compartment zipper is a bit tight on the corners, not so bad that you can't open it, but tighter than what you may see on other bags.

I use this bag so that I can take my camera, some accessories(extra battery, memory cards, switch, lens cleaner), extra lens and tripod all with me when I go out for a long walk or hike. It does have a good amount of storage space and havent had any problems taking all the equipment I need with me. The bag feels differnet till you get used to it since it is a sling, but after that it feels fine. It is easy to reach the camera, just swing the bag in front of you, unzip the camera pocket and pull it out. My only problem is that its hot in Texas its a must to have some water and its either extra lens or some bottled water.

Use to carry SLR digital camera and long lense, works well, but would prefer a clip instead of a zipper to close case for camera, otherwise is well made and sturdy

used to store/carry canon t2i with sigma 17-50 f2.8 lens with hood attached. also carries usb/av cables, small external sd card reader, spare battery and charger.
wanted to be able to pull out the camera at a moment's notice w/o re-attaching the hood or taking off the lens cap, so i put the whole thing in the internal hammock system with the hood attached and cap off and it fits well. don't have a second lens, but i figure it could fit into the top compartment as advertised. another 1/2" of room (for the thick battery charger) in either the bottom compartment or strap compartment would have been perfect.
velcro allows for loose strap management and with a couple keyrings and a decent carabiner the main cross-body strap can act as a poor-man's luma loop or blackrapid strap. i am a big fan of the over-the-left-shoulder design as i usually carry all my single-strap bags in a similar fashion.
zippers stick at the corners pretty regularly. some loose threads are visible on the straps and on the body where one material transitions to another (fixed thread with super glue).
overall a great small bag that does what i want with a little fiddling.

Comments about Case Logic SLRC-205 SLR Sling:
I bought this bag to use while hiking or riding my motorcycle. I wanted a simple bag to just carry my camera, zoom lens and tripod - and this bag does exactly that.
It slings across your body just fine, but it doesn't feel at all secure without the waist strap. Once you use that, it's very secure.
I was a little disappointed with the size of the sling - the promo video I saw must have used a giant to try it on. But it fits the camera and 200mm zoom lens well, and holds my tripod securely.
Swinging the bag forward puts the camera in front of you as expected - but I find that the zippers are difficult to work with. IF these were easier I would give it 5 stars.
I would make this purchase again.

I purchased this bag to take on vacations and day trips to the zoo and hiking. Wanted quick, easy access to my camera, but also wanted something light. This bag fills all my needs. The tripod holder works but needs some work on design. i would suggest CL design some sort of locking clip to make sure the tripod doesn't drop off the bag. I can always carry the tripod if I don't want to attach it.

Access to items while carrying is very easy and comfortable as described in marketing materials.
I can carry the camera with my 24-50, 50mm
and SB-900 as well as the charger, memory cards and cables no problem.
I've searched all around online for the perfect camera bag for me and
this product is very stylish and practical!
