Pearstone NM-4H26 4 AA NiMH Batteries with 4 Hour Charger (2600mAh,110-240V)
Pearstone's 4 AA NiMH Batteries with 4 Hour Charger comes with a set of 4 AA NiMH batteries, and it can also be used to charge NiCad/NiMH AAA batteries. The cradle accepts up to 4 batteries, for a charging cycle that lasts 4 hours, regardless of the number of batteries being charged.
The included, long-lasting, rechargeable and reliable batteries can be used at home or on the road. The handy charging unit is small and lightweight. Best of all, the unit is dual voltage making it the perfect tool to be taken on a long international journey (requires optional plug adapter). The outlet prongs fold in to the unit giving it a more compact appearance.
Both charging channels are individually monitored by LEDs that will always let you know when your batteries are charged. In addition, the auto cut-off system prevents overcharging or potential damage to the system.
Note! Actual charge time may vary depending on cell's discharge level, capacity and condition. Longer times may occur when charger is used in temperatures above 95°F (35°C)

I use these batteries on my 580ex II Speedlight and the recycling speed is awesome with them! They don't heat up as bad as lithium batteries that are not rechargable and that eases my mond on my $400+ flash! I got this and 4 extra batteries. I recomend getting an extra set of 4 because the recharge time on this is 4 hours. But that 4 hours means I can shoot for an entire night and not worry about my batteries going dead!
Only downfall is it takes 4 hours to charge! and this package doesnt include a battery holder - the plastic case you get when you buy just 4 batteries seperate.

This unit works well and charges 4 x 2600mAh AA batteries as advertised. It's hard to criticise a product that does what it claims when there are also a myriad of competing products that may do an equally good job.
However, there were 2 disclaimers I'd make:
1) The "instructions" talks about "flashing red light" during the charge process. In fact I've only seen a solid red light, and no mention was made of the fact that a solid green light indicates a fully charged set of batteries.
2) Whilst the unit comes with an inbuilt [foldaway] standard US plug and caters for 110v [50Mhz] and 240v [60Mhz] mains power supply, the reality is that the plug will not necessarily work outside the US. You will need to buy an international power plug adapter to piggyback your charger onto.

The charger does with it was designed for but sometimes the batteries fall from the cradle and the charger heats a lot. It is pretty cheap. I'm a little bit disappointed but it's perfectly usable. Even though I will not leave home when it charges for the first couple of charges, just in case...

I switched to NiMH batteries when I bought a new camera. Alkaline batteries drained way too fast...even with rechargeable batteries. I would highly recommend this product....in addition to the great batteries....they charge in just 4 hours...improvement from my last charger.

I'm using this to charge batteries for my Speedlite. Its the same price as the drug store models but charges in 4 hours instead of 8 and its compact. The instructions say a solid red light means their charged, its actually a solid green light. There are better chargers on the market, but for the price, this one is the best I've seen.
