Comments about Cullmann Primax 180 Aluminum Tripod with 3-Way Pan Head:
I admit, this is my first tripod, I'm a student, and a novice. But, I did some research and shopping to find one that is affordable and hopefully durable enough to endure constant transport to and from school and shoot sites. The leg clamps hold nicely and are easy to adjust. The head pivots, swivels, and tilts easily and securely locks in place for still shots. I haven't attempted to use it as a panning motion tripod for video. It compacts to a very reasonable carrying size and weight plus I was pleasantly surprised that it included a carrying case. I'm impressed at the quality in the construction and I feel that I made a great purchase at a great price.

Comments about Cullmann Primax 180 Aluminum Tripod with 3-Way Pan Head:
I purchased this for use at work for everyday snapshots. I am using a Nikon P500 and have had no problem with camera shake at full zoom (36X) and I couldn't achieve that with a couple of other models I tried. It's light, sets up quickly and is plenty sturdy for any point and shoot. Definitely a good value.

Comments about Cullmann Primax 180 Aluminum Tripod with 3-Way Pan Head:
I recieved my tripod this week and it turned out to be just what I needed for my projects. It's easy to use, stable, light and works great. I'm new to photography. I got a small tripod with my camera deal (Nikon D3100) and it was useless. It was only 48" tall and couldn't be used for much other than close up shots of ground level subjects. This tripod extends beyond 70" and is very stable and easy to adjust. It has a bubble level and easily adjustable legs. All that I need for a beginner. I would definitley recommend this tripod to a novice or intermediate photographer or hobbiest.

Comments about Cullmann Primax 180 Aluminum Tripod with 3-Way Pan Head:
I bought this tripod to use my Canon DSLR and it comes complete with a carrying bag which is very convenient. The overall construction seems to be very good. The only drawback is the feeble plastic handle that raises and lowers the telescoping part in the middle. It pans and tilts very smoothly.

Comments about Cullmann Primax 180 Aluminum Tripod with 3-Way Pan Head:
This is a very nice tripod. I use this tripod for standing photo & video shots. This is a very Stable, Strong tripod that sets up really fast. Center support arms deploy automatically and lock with a locking collar to make the setup fast and solid. Center column cranks up & down smoothly and locks with a collar at top of tripod. It's very light for it's size and can easily travel with your bag or on your back. 3way head locks in each position. Handle(up&down)locks. Quick release is at the back of the head and makes it easy to operate when camera is on the stand. The Quick release plate is large size making it good for Camcorder or Large Lens work. 2 bubble levels, one on the tripod and one on the head for precise angle shots. Legs retract easily and lock solid. Comes with nice zippered case.

Comments about Cullmann Primax 180 Aluminum Tripod with 3-Way Pan Head:
I've heard some bad things about cheap pan-head tripods so I was a bit nervous purchasing this, but I was not disappointed one bit!
The build quality is fantastic. This tripod is very sturdy and stable. The legs have two points to adjust, and the feet adjust themselves to the surface you're shooting on. Everything is fully adjustable and gives you a great sense of freedom. The camera mount on the head is detachable and makes it easy to take the camera off of the tripod.
Completely unextended, the tripod is very low to the ground making it easy to take macro shots. It folds up very nicely into a very small profile, and comes with a nice carrying bag making it easy to carry around. Weighing only 4 or 5lbs, it's very lightweight.
Fully extended, the tripod makes it right up to my eye level with a few inches to spare. I'm 5'11" and this is the perfect size for me. The center colomn crank and teeth seem to be of a good quality so far, and everything locks into place to keep it from moving up or down.
Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend this tripod to any beginner, or anyone looking for a quality piece of equipment for a low price. For a panhead, it's very smooth and precise and very easy to get the shots that I want. It's lightweight and compact, yet sturdy and stands tall. I could not ask for a better product for the price!
