I switched from Nikon DSLR to Canon DSLR about 18 months ago and have been very pleased with the decision. If there is one regret it is that Canon offers no way to buy an accessory that fits over the LCD to prevent it from scratching, as did the Nikon D70. When I saw this, I snapped it up and snapped it on and it is exactly what I wanted. Like other Delkin shades, this one is easy to open and offers the protection I wanted. The only downside so far is that the buttons on the attachment need a good, hard push to make them work. They do but it is not as easy to make them work as are the buttons without the cover. I'll get used to it. The protection offered is well-worth this slight drawback. Did I mention price? Reasonably priced and I will buy a second for backup.

The whole assembly provides a nice cover for the fixed LCD on the back of my Canon T2i. Problem is when I open the hood to better see the image during video shooing, the lens is highly reflective. I kept seeing myself versus the video I was shooting. A matte finish or some none reflective surface would make this thing perfect. it does protect the LCD nicely when using the viewfinder. The hood snaps on and off quickly for photo shooting which is a nice plus. But I am a video guy so that reflection thing is a pain when using the hood.

This shade might be useful in shooting video with the T2i. The shade covers the buttons on the back of the camera and the push-through buttons on the shade don't seem to line up well with the camera buttons. All-in-all not a very useful device.

I had used Delkin SnapOn on my other cameras with no problems. This one was a surprise. Not only did it cover the LED screen, it covered the
associated buttons on the right side. The buttons
"stuck" and was slow to respond. So, I returned it.

For protection while in transit, this is a good choice. To use as a shade for the "LCD", a so-so choice. My concern is that this does not fit snug enough for me to be pleased. When on the camera, I had to push certain buttons a few times in order for it to register my command and take action.

I returned it. It clipped on the eye piece and that was the only part that attached. When you pushed the buttons it pushed out the entire assembly instead of the camera's buttons. It was very flimsy, don't waste your money. This is the second Delkin Devise that I have been disappointed with.

This shade works great in all levels of daylight. I've been using it to shoot video outdoor on a handheld rig. Works great and protects screen while stored. The buttons all work put you must push them deeply.

Ideal for outdoor photography. Very useful and needed when shooting in daylight. Another good thing about it is that it protects your LCD. I only wish if the mount was more stable. But it is fine, from time to time you will have to push it down to its place.

Comments about Delkin Devices Pop-Up Shade Snap-On Pro for Canon EOS Rebel T2i DSLRs:
The snap up shade part in and of itself is great, and the way it mounts to the viewfinder is smart. The chromed embossed logo feels a bit cheap, and the buttons don't have strong, positive tactile feedback. The bottom doesn't fit snugly against the camera body - some kind of strap or spring could be helpful.
All in all, I find myself taking it off more often than I would like, but it does help quite a bit in sunlight to shade the screen.

This Shade works Great. Installs with ease and covers the back. Fits perfectly with exact rear controls duplicated. The Shade itself can be removed if needed, and can be installed to flip up or down. When closed, it completely protects the back and LCD screen from dirt and smudges. It creates a perfect three sided Shade to allow you to see the LCD screen in any Sunlight condition. Made from strong plastic which matches the Camera body.

I would have spend double the price if the construction would have been better, but so far it has served its purpose quiet well. I am just scared to break it. Personally, I only attach this if necessary, (Mounting to car rig to protect the screen, Very Sunny Days, to make the camera look cooler, etc.). I would not leave this on all the time, I know for a fact that placing it on a weird edged surface could snap this puppy off for good. I like to look at it as a lens cap for the back of my that helps with the sun but cannot eliminate the fact that the LCD screen will always have glare. Oh and the buttons, they work, but it is true you have to push them in very far (not really annoying -- just -- unexpected.

I basically use this product to protect the LCD but, the pop-up, pop-out shade also helps in bright conditions. I also pop-out the shade to use the camera in dimly lighted places to better be able to see the screen. Great for all circumstances.

This product does what it says, but the fit could be better. Many buttons had to be firmly pressed in order to work, or sometimes did not work because the cover slipped a little not allowing the extensions to line up with the real buttons underneath. However, it's a fine shade, and does keep the beautiful LCD screen protected when it's not in use. A good investment.

Comments about Delkin Devices Pop-Up Shade Snap-On Pro for Canon EOS Rebel T2i DSLRs:
The pop-up shade was pretty simple to install and use. I liked the way you can take off the "pop up" part of the shade, makes it convenient for indoor shoots yet, when needed it can be snapped back to provide better view while out doors. The thing that I did not like about is that there is not place where the unit can snap on the camera at the bottom, so it does not fit snug.
Comments about Delkin Devices Pop-Up Shade Snap-On Pro for Canon EOS Rebel T2i DSLRs:
It small enough to fit in your bag and it slips on and off easily. If you want to use live view or see your shots better in the sun it's worth it. I suppose it will protect the lcd and camera better than nothing also.
