I have gone wireless with my Elinchrom lights. Cables were a hassle but the Skyport makes studio work much easier and allows you to focus more on the photography. These products are versatile and reliable. I haven't experienced any misfires. They are small and lightweight and a good value. You can set it to individual groups and turn them on and off as you need. The transmitter fits right onto the hotshoe and the receivers come with a small strap that I just put around a knob on the lightstand and let it hang there. No need for velcro.

This unit works great as a receiver (I use it on my studio strobes and also my small flashguns), but it just dangles in the air, and hangs freely off of the flash units. It came with one very thin and cheap looking strap, but the included strap does nothing to attach this receiver to a lightstand or tripod or onto the flash units. If it had a built in hot shoe mount, than it might not be strong enough to support very heavy monolight heads and softbox attachments, that is understandable. But why couldnt they include a variety of rubber of velcro straps or the like to secure this unit so that it does not look to your customer like a homemade rig??? Surely it cant be to save an extra dollar because the carrying case is decent. It does sync to 1/250.

I bought this to use it with Canon 580 EXII flashes and because I also own Elinchrom lights. The product is great and it is a very good alternative to Pocket Wizards for which the price is double. The only thing I regret is that I did not buy this product sooner.

It well built and design and also very light, though feels a little fragile. Easy to use. Sometimes I can´t use my highest sync speed when using these transmitters, but they may not be the cause, I´m still trying to figure it out.

Comments about Elinchrom ELS Universal SPEED Receiver (Multi-Voltage 100-220VAC):
These wireless recievers will get your flash off camera, but they're not perfect. They typically only sync to 1/160 s , and they can be somewhat unreliable. I've had problems syncing when the recievers are out of site (but close). At around 1/2 the price of pocket wizards, they will do for a while, but eventually, you'll want pocket wizards.

this is not my first receiver but I have to admit I was impressed with the fact that the packaging for this thing is amazing. When I first bought the entire transmitter+receiver package I liked the they both came in a nice hard case, i wasn't expecting to get the same amount of accessories for the receiver alone. Hard case, battery charge with international plugs and a bunch of different connection cables. The product itself has great range and it's so light...the PocketWizards are way to bulky and heavy for me. And love the fact the price is really unbeatable.

Comments about Elinchrom ELS Universal SPEED Receiver (Multi-Voltage 100-220VAC):
I use this on a few small strobes. Seems to work with most flashes I've used. Comes with a few connectors, but I like to use it with a hotshoe for the flash. Reliable at reasonable distances. I only wish they were battery powered, not rechargable. Haven't had one die on me while I'm out shooting though.
