The BV 8x25 features high-quality roof prisms and fully multicoated lenses to maximize light transmission for bright and clear viewing. The soft rubber eyecups twist up to accommodate eye/sunglass wearers, while the outstanding 15 mm of eye relief provides comfortable full-frame wide angle viewing. The rugged aluminum-alloy housing is sealed and purged for all-weather performance and the Volkswagen-designed exterior sports a comfortable rubber armoring for a secure grip.

I selected the Minox strictly for lightness and compactness to watch birds from inside our rural house. Was astonished to find that it fits the hand very nicely, and the optics really "pop", comparing very favorably to several more expensive standard-sized binoculars even in deep woods in early morning. It is now competing for "most popular" status.
