I bought this for my daughter to use in the pool. This camera is a gem, it comes with a submersible clamshell case which can be used underwater and has all of the controls on the waterproof cover so you can make changes to the camera under water.
The camera is a relatively cheap model, but it does movies, has a flash, takes a standard SD card, no issues and is easy enough for a 9 year old to use and it takes great pictures making this camera a "no brainer" at 50 bucks.
Have an ample supply of AAA's on hand or some rechargeables as this camera (like most) will burn em up with heavy use. All in all, this camera is tons of fun and my child has made some great videos with it in the pool, a great buy!!

I purchased this camera just for the waterproof feature. I figured by the time I purchased a couple of disposables and paid for printing the film that this camera would've been perfect especially because I would've been able to reuse it.
I wasn't even able to get a decent indoor photo without washing out the subject with the flash on or it'd be too dark w/o the flash on.
That's when I decided that it wasn't going to work for what I had intended. I was disappointed.

Perfect for underwater digital camera at a can't beat price. Case does not leak at all. Screen was hard to see underwater and sometimes could not tell how my picture would turn out. Sometimes the camera was "busy" and would not allow me to do anything without opening the battery case to reset it. Other than that, great deal for [$] underwater camera that can be reused over and over.

I bought this kit for a upcoming trip. where I will be unable to take my photo gear with me, Do to weight, size, features, and price I decided to try this out.
I tested this product in and out of the water, it was completely water tight and it took great photos and video clips in full light on a blue sky day. It is small and light so travel with this camera is great, while in the housing it fits in my larger jacket pocket with ease. I can adjust all the cameras settings besides the macro setting which is located on the side of the camera where the housing lock is at. Switching between video, photo, audio and review Modes are easy as you just have to press the "mode" button until you find the mode you want to be in.
Trying to shoot at night or in low lit situations is nearly impossible. Shooting with the flash is kind of a painful experience also as the cameras "busy light" flashes for a long time till the flash is ready to be fired. Once fired the lighting provided by the flash was sufficient lighting for the subjects in the the trial pictures took. There is NO viewfinder on this camera, only way to see the subject you want to shoot with this camera is to use the cameras display screen. In my opinion this is the cameras biggest flaw. This feature makes the camera eat up battery life way to fast. No optical zoom is an issue when trying to get up close to a subject, like any digital zoom the quality of the image decreases dramatically while zooming in. so your better off not zooming in and enjoying the cameras fixed lens setting. The only color that was available when I bought this kit was pink, adding couple other color options to choose from would be nice.

underwater with once in a lifetime shots of giant manta rays and the bleeping camera failed me. It froze up on busy and would not take pictures. Absolutely let me down when I needed it. This camera is worthless

I used this camera while snorkelling in Maui. I had used disposables before but wanted something that was a little more environmentally friendly and had the advantages of digital.
For the price of 2 disposables (and developing) I decided to use this.
While it is not a perfect camera, it did exactly what I bought it for and that is to capture some of my moments underwater to remember the moment. Imagine my excitement at snorkelling with sea turtles and having a camera with me. Those memories are now mine forever thanks to this little camera.
It is what it is - don't expect anything more.

Bought this camera as an alternative to the disposable 35mm waterproof for my vacation to the Cayman Islands. Took it swimming with the stingrays. Took awesome pics, screen was hard to see in bright sunlight (as with any LCD screen). Senior citizen father loves it easy to use!

You get what you pay for with this camera. A semi-disposable camera you don't mind letting your kids play with. But the photo quality is not great and the flash is poor. You can't use the flash in the waterproof case (it washes out the photo).
