This Series 7 Canon knock-off came bundled with a new Marshal 7" LCD on camera monitor I purchased for use with our Canon 5D and 7D and so far works well with both cameras (able to read its charge memory like the factory LP-E6), the Marshal monitor, and charges with the Canon Factory LP-E6 charger as well as the included Marshal charger, which I find convenient in that I do not need to tote the second charger. The jury is out as to how robust it is in the power department in comparison to the factory Canons, charge life, service life, etc. It has a lot to live up to in that department as the factory LP-E6 is definitely a robust work-horse that never lets me down.

Comments about Series 7 SL-E6 Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (1800mAh):
I've used 6 of these batteries for 1 yr now and have found the following:
Does not hold a charge as long as Canon OEM batteries during use.
Does not always seat properly in the Canon BG-E9
If we charge both Canon and the Switronix battery at the same time, the Switronix will discharge much quicker when not being used.
We also had two out of the initial six that would not charge out of the box. This shows a very inadequate quality control system and when we contracted Switronix they asked why we weren't sending them back to B&H. I guess it's not their problem?!?!?!
For just a few more dollars the Canon batteries are superior in every way.

Comments about Series 7 SL-E6 Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (1800mAh):
These came as part of a kit for an external field monitor and are supposed to be interchangeable with the Cannon battery packs. So far - they seem to be and are working great.

Comments about Series 7 SL-E6 Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (1800mAh):
While the price of these batteries is lower, one would not take a charge right out of the box. I have seen similar problems with other knock off battery brands. The good news B&H issued an immediate return. It's not a busy production time so no big deal.

Comments about Series 7 SL-E6 Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (1800mAh):
A lot cheaper than the original but without the microchip you don't get all the small detail the genuine battery does. If you're not fussed about that then save yourself $20 and buy this battery...

I bought some cheaper batteries and they went in the TRASH. This Battery made by Series 7 works great and my 7D likes it. I will be buying more.

As a power pack for my Marshall 7" monitor. It charges quickly, right in my Canon charger, and that is important because the monitor will use it up in about 4-5 hours of use. Best to own several of these for this use.

Comments about Series 7 SL-E6 Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (1800mAh):
I used it as a second battery for a 3-day portrait shoot at work. It worked flawlessly and held a good, long charge. I didn't pay particular attention as to exactly how many shots or how long it held charges, but that's how I know it worked--I never had to think about it. In fact, I probably could've just used one battery, charging it at the end of each day.

Comments about Series 7 SL-E6 Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (1800mAh):
I use the 60 D for DSLR video mainly. The battery has had no life loss yet, but I have only had it for a month. So far the Battery is working perfectly and I see no difference in the Canon battery vs the Series 7 battery in regards to the 60D. If that changes I will update my review.
