Add frame-by-frame control to your existing NLE system with the ShuttlePRO v2 multimedia controller from Contour Design. Cross-platform and pre-configured for most NLE video and audio applications, the ShuttlePRO v2 features 15 fully programmable buttons to customize for your most frequently used editing commands. You can also monitor which program you are in to adjust your programmed commands accordingly.
The jog, located in the center, is alloy and can be turned forward and backward 360 degrees for frame by frame control. The Shuttle ring is rubberized and spring-loaded, which will perform fast forward and rewind in varying speeds depending on how far it is turned.

This has changed the way I edit.I have dyslexia and a keyboard can be a daunting item to use for control. The Shuttle Pro has solved this problem. It's like using a flatbed editor only you don't have to scrape the film.My only gripe is I'm going to have to map by hand the side and bottom controls, apparently Avid must have changed the drivers, however even that is an easy task due to the software.I would highly recommend it.It sits right next to my trackball and between these two I only need the keyboard for titling.Just wish it had a wireless link of some kind.

Seems to work well, but in the end I wasn't comfortable using the shuttle control much. Perhaps I'm too set in my ways.
I like all the programmable buttons, but you have to plan buttons ergonomically... with my hand in one position all the time I wind up using some fingers less naturally or more often than I would with the keyboard - stretching my pinkie or other less used fingers would make my hand ache. By no means is this a problem with the ShuttlePro alone.
I also had issues with it wanting to default to an older version of FinalCut I have installed on another partition.
Recently worked on a project where the shuttle could have been a real boon... guess I should give it another try.

I use this product mainly with Adobe Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Audition) and it works perfect.
Easy to set it up, even though in windows 7 is a little complicated but it's solved now.
