The Element Technica Video Breakout Box attaches securely to the RED One's 4 mini-coax video connectors, providing industry-standard BNC connectors for the HD-SDI and genlock signals while rerouting the cables to the back and bottom of the camera. This both streamlines cable management and reduces stress to the camera connectors themselves. Just snap on the breakout box and forget it!

Comments about Element Technica Video Breakout Box:
This third-party product fixes a flaw with the Red One camera system. The video out connectors on the Red One camera, as it ships from the factory, are an inferior type (DIN) that previously could only be viewed on an external monitor with the use of Red's flimsy DIN to SDI adapter. To further complicate matters, the use of this adapter allows only one output signal to be previewed at a time and which causes complaining among film veterans. This video break out box by Element Technica is a well thought-out and cleverly designed product that allows this revolutionary camera system to be compatible with the industry standard SDI type of connector. It facilitates up to 3 separate SDI outputs at once as well as a port for genlock. Aside from improving compatibility, the break out box protects a vulnerable port on the camera while maintaining a low profile design. A must have for all serious Red One cinematographers.
