The VAIO X VPCX131KX/B 11.1" Notebook Computer from Sony is a compact notebook computer, built with all-day computing in mind. The system ships with two batteries -- one standard capacity and one large capacity -- which provide a total of 14 hours of cord-free operation. The compact system is a little over a half inch thin when closed and weighs a scant 1.6 pounds when using the standard capacity battery.
The system features an 11.1" LCD display with a LED backlight, 16:9 aspect ratio, and 720p resolution. It is rife with wireless options -- 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, GPS, and Verizon Mobile Broadband are all standard issue. Using the computer is comfortable too, as it features a chiclet keyboard and a multi-gesture touchpad.
The computer is powered by a 2GHz Intel Atom Z550 CPU and is loaded with 2GB of RAM and a 64GB SSD storage drive. It features an integrated webcam and microphone, a memory card reader, and Intel GMA 500 graphics. Windows 7 Home Premium (32-bit) is the installed operating system.
