I recently used this strap when shooting an all day indoor sporting event. The shoulder strap was nice and "grippy" on my shoulder and very comfortable and slighty stretchy, which is great! The shoulder pad did not slide around at all when the weight of the camera hung at my side. The strap does move a bit when you lift/slide the camera to your face for shooting. That's OK, because the shoulder pad resets back to position when the camera hangs again at your side.
The way the quick release attached to your camera body is so simple it's hard to believe that all camera/strap connections aren't made this way. On other straps, I've had considerable difficulty threading the strap through the connection on the body then figuring out the best way to secure it through the little buckle - what a pain!
Contrast that with this strap - took about 30 seconds to attach and I feel it's even more sturdy and secure than other strap connectors.
The way the connector slides up and down the strap is easy and effective.
Although it comes with two sliding connectors, I've only used one. I'm not sure if it would slide/glide very well with both connectors attached to a camera. But, for extra confidence, two connectors isn't a bad idea.
Also, I'm a very big guy, and this strap has PLENTY of length to reach across my torso.

Disappointed to find I could only wear it on one side - the side I'm not used to carrying stuff on. Perhaps I'll get used to it. But with a simple modification, it seems the manufacturer could have made it easy to switch sides with. If the buckles near the shoulder pad where each the same - either male/male or female/female and the strap made to match - the strap could be switched around, then it would be very easy to switch shoulders. This would be nice to on longer hikes to do anyway. I suppose one could twist the shoulder pad upside down for the other shoulder.
Also, I may try to modify it with the swivel hardware from the hardware store similar to the Black-rapid strap that screws into the tripod hole - but will try for awhile as is.
Otherwise, seems fine and well made.

I have also used Black Rapid straps, and this is just as good for less than half the price. It's probably not going to be good for a massive FF camera with huge lens, but for a smaller camera it's great.

Works great! Got it for an upcoming vacation to the 4 corners area. Needed it to carry a heavey L glass zoom. Comfortable to wear.

Great, comfortable strap. I chose this sling strap so my camera would be easier to get in and out of a camera bag (only one side of straps to mess with instead of two), comfortable when hiking, and made in the USA! It comes with two buckles if your camera has a second attachment point on the bottom (with an extended battery pack?), but mine will be unused or maybe snipped off. Will buy again from B&H!

Positions the camera perfectly on the hip and is adjustable. Swings up to shooting position very easily. Love IT!!

Comments about OP/TECH USA Utility Strap-Sling (Black):
I bought this strap to go along with my Canon 600D. I'm not a fan of the typical neck strap that comes with a camera, so I was looking into perhaps getting a strap from Black Rapid or Sun Sniper when a classmate mentioned this one. He loaned me his Op/Tech strap for a few hours and I was sold, especially at a third the price.
For me this strap is amazingly comfortable to the point where I don't feel it most of the time. Once you get it adjusted, the camera hangs at a comfortable height (just above my hip, personally) where you can quickly and easily reach down and swing the camera up into shooting position. It also makes getting in and out of cars with a camera much easier, just detach the quick-release and you don't have to fight the strap.
The only downside to me is where the quick-release attaches to the camera body itself: The neck strap attachment points (as opposed to the tripod socket with the Black Rapid). Getting the quick-release clip on or off the camera is a bit of a pain, but you shouldn't have to bother with putting it or or taking it off that often. It also makes shooting with portrait orientation a little cumbersome, but once you get used to it, it's fine.
One last thing I would mention: If your camera doesn't have a flip-out LCD, get a screen protector of some sort because of where the camera sits the rear LCD could pick up a few minor scratches.

This sling strap is much more comfortable then the neck strap that came with my camera. It is very easy to get use to and it is very comfortable around your shoulder. The design of this product is great and so was the price!

This is a modular system that with the inexpensive Optech system connectors allow additional sizing options and functions. The extensions (one or two sets) available allow increasing the size of the wrap when wearing thick insulated outer wear and also allow if desired increasing the strap to Uni-Loop connectors on the camera and battery grip if used. The secure-it extension allows wrapping the quick connect loop with a Velcro like tape for those connections you wish to stay together.
The extensions also allow if you turn the shoulder pad upside down to allow it to function as a very comfortable neck strap. (If so get an extra set of Uni-Loop connectors if using a battery grip mount as well to provide three camera connections.)

I don't like this strap, although its concept is very good.
The Problems I have:
the sliding is not smooth
the strap itself won't stay on my shoulder
the length should be longer
designed to put on left shoulder only

If you are shooting in Landscape orientation this strap works fine, it is even easily wearable if you wear a backpack. If you, however, shoot in Portrait orientation you will have to deal with the camera starp and/or "System Connectors" getting in the way. I found you can unhook one of the connectors and it cuts back on the frustration a little bit, but it does not get rid of it completely.

I bought this strap from B&H about a week ago, and for the most part am pleased. I would have easily given this strap five stars if it were just a few inches longer.
Good:
- The strap is very comfortable.
- The sliding motion is fluid.
- The strap doesn't slip around.
- Made in the USA!
Could be better:
- Uses plastic buckles to hold the camera, I have not had an issue but there's a fear factor there.
- Plastic buckles snap firmly, but the build quality of the buckles seems a little flimsy.
- I'm very tall with a long torso, so the strap was a little short out of the box. I had to buy an extender for the strap.
All in all a fantastic strap that I wouldn't hesitate recommending to friends and family. The length issue was easily alleviated by adding a fairly cheap extender.

I have had this companiesneck strap, and decided to try this version. It is more secure in my mind by using a looping knot on the camera. Tripod mout is left usable, being a bigger guy the strap is a little short, but used old opti strap for extentsion. Can't best the price and value per dollar. Would recommend to a friend

I'm using this sling on my canon 60d. Unlike other sling, this one doesn't use the bottom slot. Hence,I can attach the camera to a tripod w/o having to unscrew the sling.

I don't like the ones that attach at 2 points because I don't like things around my neck or hanging in front of me. This is a better solution.

I like the concept, comfort and the ease of operation of this strap. I am a little reluctant to connect heavier equipment such as my Nikon D300 with a 70-200 lens because the plastic snap clip that attaches the camera to the strap seems pretty lightweight.

There are many expensive sling straps on the market and they do work well, except for the occasional horror story of a bracket breaking loose from the tripod connector and the camera falling on the ground! This strap works very well ergonomically and is less likely to result in a dropped camera. I call this a WIN, WIN.

I wish it would slide a little bit easier from moving the camera from your hip to shooting position, but only a small annoyance. It is relatively inexpensive compared to the alternatives so I'm satisfied with the strap.
