The Porta Brace CBA-NX5U Camera Body Armor (Signature Blue) is a snug-fitting jacket made of water-resistant, highly abrasive-resistant, soft-feel fabric that protects the Sony HDR-AX2000 or HXR-NX5U NXCAM camcorder from bumps, hits and scratches. It also reduces the risk of camcorder damage due to precipitation, dust, and other harsh conditions. The interior side of the fabric has a mesh finish, to improve air flow around the camera. The Mini Armor has a simple Rain/Dust cover that fits into a convenient slip pocket. It has a clever Webbing Tab that fastens to the slot on the lens cap. The camera body armor is loaded onto the camera using touch fasteners and web cinchers.

Well, it's useful for what I needed, a rain cover. Though, the limited access to manual controls is just sad. At [$] I was expecting this to be better resolved. I use all manual controls in a fast paced outdoor work environment, something that is now virtually impossible to do. Yes, you can slip your hand up underneath the cover's velcro straps (which are numerous and confusing to say the least)... But it is cramped and makes constantly changing settings near impossible.I'm considering returning the cover and going back to using a plastic sack.

how can this protect when part of the camera is still exposed to rain . the view finder isnt protected and neither is the built in mic or the lcd screen. I want a coat that protects the whole camera

I just got this armor and its quality is great. I'm happy to have rain cover with this armor. This is new product for new camera and I changed some tips inside armor. This costs me 5$. Not so good with mounting plate for tripod. Miller not good, Vinten and Sachtler are fine.
