The Denon DBP-4010UDCI Universal Blu-ray Disc Player (Black) is a universal disc player that offers a combination of user-friendly playback features and support of premium audio for the ultimate addition to your home theater setup. Enjoy your whole collection of discs, as it supports Blu-ray, DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, Super Audio CD and music CD as well as Kodak and Fuji picture display capabilities.
Denon's Direct Mechanical Construction is designed to offer reduced vibration and the S.V.H. mechanism accurately reads signals from your discs. Heavy shielding is implemented to reduce magnetic interference and the unit features a sturdy aluminum casing. Integrated Denon Link support allows for reduced HDMI transmission jitter when you use it with a compatible Denon AV receiver which also has Denon link capability.
The system supports interlaced to progressive scan upconversion and video scaling along with SD and HD digital video noise reduction for clear, smooth video displays. On the audio side, the 7.1 analog outputs have fully configurable bass management that is powered by two DDSC-HD dual 32-bit SHARC processors that can handle 192 kHz on all channels, whereas many units can handle this on just the first two channels. It also features a separate stereo downmix analog output with its own 24 bit D/A conversion.
When paired with an internet connection the unit supports BD Live 2.0 for internet streaming capability that lets you download and view online bonus contents. To download Bonus View contents, simply insert a memory card with at least 1GB of memory and enjoy trivia, chats and other online extras.
This exceptional player gives you flexible setup and control options, as the unit features a web browser that allows you to control it from a PC or iPhone. Use it for integration diagnosis and correction, so you choose how you want to control the unit.
- Multi-Disk Format Playback
- In addition to Blu-ray discs, this universal player supports playback of Super Audio CD, DVD-Audio, CDs, DVD-Audio discs and recordable Blu-ray and DVD discs. Enjoy an array of disc formats with this high quality player.
- Digital Media Capability
- Using the convenient front-oriented memory card slot, you can display Kodak and Fuji family photos and videos. Support of AVCHD format allows for playback of Blu-ray discs and SD cards (including SDHC) from HD camcorders.
- Jitter-Free Operation
- Direct Mechanical Ground Construction provides vibration resistance and 6-Block structure protects against mutual interference from electricity or magnetic fields. Additionally the S.V.H. mechanism reduces vibration and allows for quiet operation and high precision disc tracking. Its 6-Block structure reduces mutual interference from electricity or magnetic fields to give you the highest quality video and audio.
- Upscale DVDs to 1080p
- Anchor Bay VRS ABT-2010 high-bit video processing features an interlaced to progressive scan conversion, scaling and digital noise reduction for smoother video displays. This allows you to see an upscaled version of your DVDs that have a resolution of 480i. This processing system upscales it to 1080p for a clearer, higher quality picture. Denon Pixel Image Correction (D.P.I.C.) allows for a more natural representation of curved lines.
- AL24 Processing
- DDSC-HD (Dynamic Discrete Surround Circuit-HD) allows for high quality sound. Enjoy multi-channel AL24 processing for accurate sound localization and deep low frequencies. The system also supports Dolby TrueHD and DTS-Master Audio encoded material. HDMI version 1.3a supports Deep Color and x.v Color for high quality color reproductions. Additionally, the system supports the Cinema Scope aspect ratio.
- BD Live 2.0 Capability
- The system supports BD-Live through its Ethernet plug-in, so you can download and stream bonus features. The front-panel SD card slot lets you store and view these bonus contents and even play MP3, WMA and JPEG image files. This feature requires a memory card with at least 1GB of memory. Playback DivX files (ver. 6) and take advantage of the BONUSVIEW function.

- Set up the system and keep control using your PC or iPhone, as the unit features a built-in web browser to give you the ultimate flexibility and ease of use. This way you have more options and aren't tied to using the included system remote.
- Remote Control Functions
- Operation is easy with the user-friendly GUI and Glo-key remote control for easy use in dark viewing environments. Utilize the HDMI CEC feature to allow your HDTV remote to manage additional devices connected via HDMI without any special programming. Additionally, you can select the HDMI resolution of your choice on the front panel of the unit to allow for the highest quality video your HDTV is capable of producing. You can also perform basic operations of the unit using your network-ready iPhone or iPod Touch for additional flexibility.
