The Giottos VGR8255-SC Vitruvian Carbon Fiber Tripod is a lightweight 5-section tripod with added value. Designed according to the Golden Ratio shown in Da Vinci's famous picture of the Vitruvian Man, this tripod features "reverse technology" legs that when collapsed fold 180° and surround the tripod center column and head to a length of 15.6" (39.6cm). It has independent leg positions for positioning your equipment in unusual orientations, and is easily converted from a tripod to a monopod simply by unscrewing a tripod leg, removing the center column and joining them together.
The versatility of this strong carbon fiber, lightweight and compact tripod which will support your equipment weighing up to 8.8 lb (3.9 kg) is a great solution for shooting on location and for travel.
- The center column lifts for fast camera positioning and has a safety lock so that the center column does not accidently come out.
- This standard tripod folds to only 15.6" (39.6cm).
- By removing the center column and joining it with one leg, you can convert the tripod to a monopod.
- Twist leg locks, a built-in bubble level, and rubber feet with spikes guarantee precise positioning no matter where you are shooting.
- A built-in retractable hanging hook is provided for hanging weight which adds stability.
- Neoprene leg grips allow easy carrying under all weather conditions.
