Capable of recording 1080i/p, 720p, and 480i video to native MP4 or Final Cut Pro files for the most efficient workflow, the GY-HM790U also offers a full complement of broadcast features, including HD-SDI output, 4:2:2 sampling, timecode, genlock, and variable frame rates. Its ability to record to dual, hot-swappable SD/SDHC cards means affordable access to readily available media, which can be coupled with an optional SxS recorder for extended or backup capture. Optional studio components--such as the included KA-551U tripod plate--add another layer of professional functionality, placing the GY-HM790U in truly the best of both worlds.
