I bought this for use with my Rebel XT (350D) and it's been great. When mounted on a tripod, this remote helps completely get ride of any camera shake, even that caused by simply pressing the on camera shutter button. So far I've used it to shoot models, cars, and scenery and it's paid for itself. Great remote for the money.
Cable is just the right length. Multi-function button is perfect to get AE/AF lock and then take the picture.
Only down side is I always reach for the wrong part of the remote - they put the button on the side where the wire comes out so that when it dangles from your camera, the button is already on top; but I always try to correct for where I think the button should be (so by making it more ergonomic they made it seem backwards). I should get used to this over time though.
I prefer this to my wireless RC-1 which only gets use for self portrait work.

Performs as advertised, and is essentially the equivalent of a 2' cable release from the old mechanical shutter days.
Since I purchased this item I have graduated to a third-party radio-based unit that works up to 100' from the camera and does not require a line of sight view of the camera's front face. I will probably use this "tethered" switch only rarely, if ever, in the future.

Comments about Canon RS-60E3 Remote Switch:
The product does as advertised - an off camera shutter release. Its great and I absolutely love the no-shake option. However, I'm left wanting MORE CORD! The two foot length limits range of movement for the photographer - a must if shooting child or animal portraits. Give me more length - I'll fold up and clip what I don't need but would LOVE the option of mobility. (My Canon Rebel T3 does not offer a wireless remote option.)

Comments about Canon RS-60E3 Remote Switch:
It won't go unused, but I would have benefited from a longer cable and (assuming my XTi could support it), the ability to manage exposure settings on the remote.
Worst of all, the manual was very confusing.

Comments about Canon RS-60E3 Remote Switch:
I use this product as a trigger so as not to disturb the camera resulting in pictures that are not blurry. I like this remote due to the inexpensive cost and its simplicity. It even has notches that allows you to wrap and secure the cable around the switch itself!

I am going to Yellowstone and I wanted to replace my battery remote as it was always 'dying' when I needed it most.
I went on line and did not find this, but a phone call to NYC told me such a simple gadget still existed. oh joy. One less thing to worry about. Tried it out last weekend and it was bgreat!.

Comments about Canon RS-60E3 Remote Switch:
I am an amateur photographer and I think a remote switch is a great tool to use when taking photos with a tripod.
The only thing I would like to see is maybe a little bit longer cord. The cord now will do but it would be nice if it was a bit longer.
