After seeing some overly negative reviews upon this pair of headphones I was hesitant to purchase them. In a rush however I decided I needed to purchase a set today to properly assess a concert I had recently filmed. After having a few pairs including a well used pair of Sony mdr 7506 retailing around 99 dollars I came at these [$] pieces with a hesitation as to the quality. Upon putting the massive yet comfortable and spacious headphones on my ears and cranked up the volume putting it through Buyer Beware by Hans Zimmerman and James Newton Howard, King Of Anything by Sara Bareilles, and No Love by Eminem and Lil Wayne the speakers came to life desribing each instrument in it's own range of organic rhythm. Extremely crisp with every detail having an acute presence, no instrument had too much power nor were the bass tones muddy. Excellent headphones, they will not disappoint.

I had read somewhere that for the price, these headphones had a flat frequency response and would be good for mixing. These are awful headphones. As soon as I plugged them in, I knew I had to send these back. They sound like headphones you could buy at the dollar store.My headphones that came with my ipod sound better than these.
