Comments about Korg PS60 Performance Synthesizer:

Make no mistake, the PS-60 is not a high end live synthesizer. It does have some superb sounds and excellent live performance flexibility tools, however - so if live performance in places where things might get damaged is your "gig", then this board is worth some serious consideration as it is quite light, easily transportable, and does some very nice things on the fly.Pros: one-button octave switching, easy transposition via quick button push, incredibly easy split control of the board. Excellent mix controls for the basic voices of the synth.Cons: For a [$] board, the action really needed to be designed better. It's bluntly very bad and cheap-feeling, and if you're a piano player it will (believe me) annoy you mightily. If you approach the board as a live synthesizer for use in layering cool sounds into your band, then you've got a winner here. Another con - very flimsy jacks and a 1/8" headphone jack. Live gear needs, as a must, robust connections and standardized inputs. Should have been designed with reinforced input/output jacks and a standard 1/4" headphone jack. Onboard "extra" effects are "okay" - but not enough volume is available for the delay module. You have to crank it all the way to have the delay heard against the patch.Overall: Decent board with some very nice sounds and great split/octave/transposition control. Needs much better action for the keys for serious players, and the jacks, etc. could use some reinforcement. It is very light and easy to carry.
