The ION Studio Rackmount Digital Audio + Video Workstation Computer from Rain Computers is custom built with professional audio and video applications in mind. It is optimized for use with Pro Tools, Adobe Premiere, and Native Instruments. The Quiet Cool design uses efficient cooling to keep the system running without excess noise for a virtually silent computing experience.
The system is powered by a quad-core 3.06GHz Intel Xeon "Bloomfield" CPU and is loaded with 6GB of RAM for maximum performance. A 1TB 7200rpm hard drive is installed to house the operating system, matched with a second 1TB 7200rpm hard drive that is designated for use as a scratch drive. Graphics are provided by a dedicated ATI Radeon HD 5450 GPU with 1GB of memory.
The computer is housed in a 4U rackmount chassis. There is plenty of room for expansion and upgrades -- the computer supports up to 6TB of storage, and up to 24GB of 1333MHz DDR3 Triple-Channel memory. It features PCI and PCI Express expansion, perfect for use with Pro Tools HD, UAD2, and video capture cards. The computer gives you the power to exercise your creative freedom.
