Comments about Samsung EX-S30NB 30mm f/2.0 Standard Pancake Lens:
I got this lens for my Samsung NX200. It is amazingly sharp, with great contrast and color. It is much better than the kit zoom. I leave this lens on the camera at all times. It is near normal which can be a bit tight at times but still is my favorite lens. I compared this lens to by Zeiss Contax 28mm with adapter on the NX200 and believe this is sharper with better fine detail. The bokeh is very good to excellent. The lens is a tad softer wide open but still excellent. At f4 it is superb.

Comments about Samsung EX-S30NB 30mm f/2.0 Standard Pancake Lens:
This lens would be a great reason to get the NX series camera. Samsung has been doing a great job on producing what users really want. The pancake lens makes it very portable and it produces decent pictures. Only CON I have is that the pictures come out blurry time to time, but it could be related to my unstable hand. Most of the times, it's not an issue tough.

Comments about Samsung EX-S30NB 30mm f/2.0 Standard Pancake Lens:
After years of using consumer DSLRs with better-than-kit zooms, using this lens for several weeks paired with an NX100 has been a revelation. It's small enough to make the NX100 almost the size of an enthusiast compact, and the images are consistently excellent. I was concerned about the slow focusing that I had read about in other reviews, but haven't noticed it in use. The bokeh is decent; not objectionable, but not particularly beautiful, either. The only real negative I can think of about the lens is that it makes me long for equivalently good, affordable lenses at other focal lengths.

I got this from BandH to have better low light capability with my NX100, Very sharp and fast, but small enought to make the kit very compact. Highly recommended.

Comments about Samsung EX-S30NB 30mm f/2.0 Standard Pancake Lens:
I use this on an NX100, and it makes for such a wonderfully compact, powerful little package. I shoot pretty consistently at ISO400, and so with that ISO and this lens's aperture, I can shoot in just about any situation without any problem. The sharpness is fantastic.

Comments about Samsung EX-S30NB 30mm f/2.0 Standard Pancake Lens:
The lens is tack sharp even wide open. Distortion is hardly noticable. The optic is simply great. AF is fast, and MF is useable. Build quality could be better in term of materials, more light weight metal instead of plastic would be nice, but for the price, I can't complaint much. Although mostly plastic, build tolerance is very tight, so there is no woobling part.

Comments about Samsung EX-S30NB 30mm f/2.0 Standard Pancake Lens:
This lens is very sharp from f2 to f13. The dpreview tests show it to be just short of Nyquest through most fstops. It is one of my best lenses. Incidentally I love the Samsung NX10 camera. I use it for most of my indoor shots. f2.0 at ISO 800 is about as good as it gets.

Comments about Samsung EX-S30NB 30mm f/2.0 Standard Pancake Lens:
This pancake lens is great. The f2 aperture allows for great shots and the lens is high quality with excellent sharpness.
I use it when I need to have blurred backgrounds, when I need to use faster shutter speeds, and when I want to keep the ISO down.
True, it lacks image stabilization, but with f2 you can afford faster shutter speeds. Plus, when I put in on my NX10, I can fit the whole camera into my jacket pocket, which is pretty great.
My only complaint about it is that the plastic ring around the lens seems a bit cheap, or at least easily scratchable. I accidently nudged it with my nail VERY lightly and it left a noticeable white mark. After rubbing with my finger it went away, but it was still concerning.
But aside from that area, the rest of the lens feels solid and the image quality is excellent. I would definitely add this to your lens lineup even though it's not wide angle. Sometimes I found myself wanting a wider angle lens but I have my kit 18-55mm lens for that, plus the 30mm's disadvantages are far outweighed by its advantages.
An additional note- the 30mm seems to have a slower focusing speed than the 18-55mm lens, but it is still sufficiently quick.
