I was going to buy the Redhead because, well, they're, ya know, cool looking. And the reviews say they have amazing effectiveness. Well, turns out, these K-Tek deals work pretty darn good too. Without it I can't even record on a slightly breezy day outside with my H4N, but WITH it I can record on a pretty windy day and still get great sound.

I've not tested different brands but this windscreen cuts out the wind. I was using it in 6-8mph wind with no noise. I only had issues when the wind was gusting around 15+mph.
It fits snug on H4n. It is still sheading slightly.

I got this with the dSLR kit for the H4n. The windscreen helps, but the mic's do a decent job of keeping unwanted noise out without it.
Its easy to put on and take off and quite light. If you are outdoors for recording a lot then buy it, if not, don't.

I did a t.v. add of a girl talking to camara. I used the Cannon 7D, the Zoom H4n with wireless levalier xlr into the Zoom. It's super clear audio and you can monitor while recording. Great product.
