If you get the Hoodman viewfinder (and 3x loupe) this strap can be used on the Canon 60D LCD screen even flipped out. (And should work with other adjustable LCD screens). Great for checking framing and focus outdoors, especially for video work) The hoodman viewer and loupe actually work pretty well to provide a sharp and adjustable image.
The Hoodman viewerfinder is light enough it didn't seem to be putting undue pressure on the LCD. Just avoid pushing the LCD with the viewfinder.
The downside is there's still some slight shifting of the viewfinder so you need to check to make sure it hasn't shifted between takes.
