The price is right; this tool-set is invaluable! Even without my having arthritis, it would be in my gear bag. This is especially true for a filter like the Circular Polarizer, which twists on two levels for operation (rather than twisting off, it often just kept on its normal twisting course. Frustrating, to say the least!)

Made of plastic. Two identical wrenches included in package. These filter wrenches will probably get the job done and they're reasonably priced (until you start thinking about how much they cost to manufacture). However, it is wildly unlikely that these wrenches will become your most beloved possession. Truthfully, you will probably continue loving your beer bottle opener more.

Comments about General Brand Filter Wrench 48-58mm (Set of 2):
A very simple looking and easy to use devise. I had a filter on that I could not get off so I checked B&C website and came across the filter wrench. I admit being a bit apprehensive when I put it on and started to turn the wrench (thoughts of my lens shattering crossed my mind) it was one two and off came the filter. Purchased new filter from B&H and recommend this to everyone utilizing filters.....you never know!

Comments about General Brand Filter Wrench 48-58mm (Set of 2):
The wrenches are great but the sizing need a better look from the mfg. At the largest size the space between the grips is way to big. There seems to be only 2 size ranges and maybe there should be 3.

Wrenches should be a little thicker (better quality) and rubber lined for bettter protection and grip of the filters. But what can you expect for the price.

I came across these on this website. I didn't know they were item to buy. I think for all photographers that use filters. This is must have just to keep in the bag just in case. I had a issue in oct on vacation. Seem my filter got stuck and when taking it off for night time shots. Took longer then need to get filter off. I just tried them on my filter easy and simple to use. I have seen comments that are filmsy. Def not at all. Seem there a 1/8-3/16 thick abs plastic. Small bending pointing but still firm.
Over all 5 stars for easy, simple, great idea of product.

This set of 2 filter wrenches do what they are supposed to-get a stuck filter off. But sometimes a really stubborn one is hard to get off even with the wrenches. I thought the part that grips the filter would be rubber, but the whole piece is hard plastic-doesn't grip good. A trick I learned is don't squeeze too hard because you "egg" the filter thread. Just put gentle pressure on it and work with it that way.

So, I was dumb and careless and my camera fell out of the car as I was getting out. It landed face down (luckily it wasn't that far of a fall) and the filter was knocked down enough to become crossthreaded. There's no hope of getting it off by hand at that point. I tried all the tricks, using a cord to torque it, sticking it in the fridge, trying to break the glass out (which I wouldn't recommend unless you don't mind screwing up your lens). Even my husband had a go at it with some vice grips. No dice. Bought a set of these puppies and he got the stupid filter off in about 10 seconds. Saved my lens, and saved me from having to make the long drive to the camera repair place. Definitely a good investment.
Don't crossthread your filter, lol! I was miserable for months!

I had a polarizing filter stuck on camera for weeks. I tried everything to get it off and couldn't. A friend told me to get this wrench and honestly I wasn't to hopeful. After the 2nd try the filter came right off without damaging anything. This baby stays in my camera bag now. Best bang for the the buck.

I had a stuck filter, I expected a metal clip, but this plastic wrench could not do it, i had to break the filter glass and use a plier to move it at the end...

It's only a matter of time before you need one of these. The fact that they give you two is especially nice if you stack filters
(or if you keep a UV filter on all the time, and occasionally add another filter), since you can put one on each filter.

Something you don't need till you NEED it!
Useful to remove stuck filters, saves damage to lens/filters and the need to buy a new filter or repir the lens after using channel lock pliers to loosen a stubborn filter, like one of my friends did.
