Comments about Fujifilm RAP 4 x 5" Fujichrome Astia 100-F (20 Sheets):
I shoot mostly landscapes, scan and print digitally, and with that I get better results with Astia than any other color film. This is a low contrast extremely fine grain slide film which means it retains more detail with truer color than other films. Contrast can easily be increased in post processing to match the results of higher contrast films but it can be very difficult to reduce contrast. the lower contrast gives Astia the widest Latitude of any slide film I have used. You can get better latitude with some color negative films but with a noticable increase in graininess, Astia has the finest grain of any color film. And without the weird meganta or blue color casts that plauge other other slide films. For all but the flattest light situations (or when looking for weird color casts) this is my film of choice. Hopefully it will be available for a while longer.

Comments about Fujifilm RAP 4 x 5" Fujichrome Astia 100-F (20 Sheets):
Absolutely a great film for nightscapes. Next to zero colour shift, especially in the magenta. Good red response and pure whites, even when used for long exposure star trail shots.
Reciprocity is fantastic and compares easily to Kodak E200 - the standard for astrophotography. Astia has been over shadowed by the Velvia line in landscape use. Astia leaves nothing behind however, and for skin tones and portraiture - leaves all other films behind in my opinion. Also, great latitude for a slide film.
A fantastic film for literally any type of shooting. If I had to choose ONE film to use - Astia would be it.

Comments about Fujifilm RAP 4 x 5" Fujichrome Astia 100-F (20 Sheets):
This is my primary chrome film both in sheets and 120. The shadows are subtle and the whites pure. This film is very easy to scan. If you require more punch and saturation these adjustments can be added post.

I highly recommend this film. It is less contrasty than velvia and great for portraits.
