This is my main controller that I use for my mobile DJ business. I use it with Traktor Pro. It is a really great controller. Good design, easy to get used to, etc. However, there are a few complaints I have about it. 1. USB cord not detachable. So, if the USB cord is cut or anything, you will either have to send it in or open it up and fix it yourself. 2. It's all plastic. This one is not really a complaint, since it's a given. However, I have already broke one of the upper pitch bend buttons, and my bass EQ knobs are about to fall off(I use them alot). That's it. Would I recommend this to others? Uh, YES.

I'm a new DJ doing this for a hobby and it seems to be easy to learn. No software needed, just plug and play.Definitely need a sound card. But overall a great product.

Product is great - I have been DJing for many years using turntables and vinyl, as well as Final Scratch and Traktor DJ. I use the Mixtrack with Traktor and it works great. Such an inexpensive unit but does everything one would want.

I am a professional photographer and my wife has been in the wedding business for years as well so we have lots of vendor friends and I have always wanted to play around with some DJ gear. After speaking to a couple of my DJ friends I purchased this item just to play around with. My wife and I throw a lot of parties and I thought this would be a fun thing to add and just have fun with. It is really impressive as far as options and functionality. While my DJ friends said they would never use something like this on an actual gig they had a lot of fun with it and were impressed with the performance for the $$. If you are an amateur or just looking for a hobby this controller is great. The only thing I didn't like about it is that you are not able to make a playlist unless you upgrade for $100 to the pro version of virtual DJ. This is a big bummer if you ever want to walk away from the DJ booth or want to use it in a party scenario like I do. The use of a sound card would help as well but I am planning on getting an external one in time. Again this is simply a toy for me so I went with the cheapest option.

I'm lovin this controller. No sound card like the Pro model, but knew that when I bought it. Just getting started with mixing and this is perfect for what I'm doing.

I was looking for a controller upgrade from my X-Session Pro, which I really enjoy - but now feels limited.
I need more control over loops and specially a controller that has LEDs to indicate what features are on/off, such as effects, loops, sync, etc.
I searched around and the are not that many option under US$200. I found this to be just perfect, but considered Numark to be low-quality, because of some experience with mixers and CDJs.
To my surprise, this controller is really good, and with the latest version of Traktor (1.2.7) it needs very little time to get everything ready to gig. I did some customizations of my own, but the core mappings are perfect.

It came with little problem, that had little impact for me, as I play mainly techno/progressive. I don't use the scracth-wheel, so I mapped it to Seek within a track, which is very handy. The right wheel has a little bump which makes it skip. If I neeeded to use this to beatmatch or scratch, it would be a MAJOR issue, and even you consider returning it.

Other than this problem, it all works perfect and I'm loving playing on this controller and have full LOOP and EFFECTs controls with all the buttons and knobs I'll need.

I recommend this to a begginer OR an experienced laptop DJ. I've been playing for three years now.

I bought this midi controller two weeks ago. Great price, great features, great solid productit's very easy to setup and get around. With Traktor LE.. works just like two decks and a mixer plus it allows you to do so much more.. effects... samples...touch activated jog wheels and transport controls and great software - Traktor is the best. Controller works very well - Smooth crossfaders, great response, nice buttons and colored LED lights this product is impressive especially for [$]. Okay it has a plastic chassis but it's good quality plastic.I didn't even needed to buy the pro version of this product or external sound card With 5.1 sound card in my computer I can monitor and cue tracks on my headphones (output one) and play audio to the speakers through the other output.

There are no surprises with this Mixer / Midi Controller. It is light-weight, all of the knobs and faders are plastic, and it doesn't have an on-board sound card. But, that is exactly what it is supposed to be. Anyone who gives it a negative review for any of those reasons should have done their homework a little better.

All of that being said, it works extremely well for the Controller it is. I plugged it in and it was recognized immediately by windows. Traktor LE and the MixTrack had no issues communicating with each other. And, if you are willing to take the time to learn how to re-map the functions in Traktor, you can customize to your heart's content.

I don't believe this unit would withstand a party environment. For bedroom use, or for someone curious about whether to switch to a digital format, this is a good Controller.

For an entry-level Controller, this is an excellent choice.
