Velbon's DF-60 Tripod W/3-Way Panhead is a solid, portable aluminum tripod with an all-black finish, 3-way panhead and 3-section legs with rubber feet. The center column is geared and has a hand crank for precision adjustment of height. The DF-60 has a maximum height of 5.3' (1.62 m) and a minimum height of 1.9' (58 cm). It supports up to 8.8 lbs (4 kg), and weighs 4 lbs (1.82 kg).

This is an ok tripod to use for lightweight cameras. The legs are strong and metal, but the quick release is all plastic which is not stable for DSLR cameras or with a zoom lens. If you want something more stable get a tripod that has a metal quick release. But if you are just starting out, this is an ok tripod to use.

Excellent product. Use this for ornithology trips. Compact, very sturdy and reliable and easy to set up. This is my second one and I'm replacing it but through no fault of the product just ultimate overuse! Thoroughly recommend it.
