The Iogear 39' (11 m) USB 2.0 Booster Extension Cable uses active electronics to amplify the USB signal beyond the USB 2.0 specification of 15' (4.5 m). It does this with no loss of data integrity. The Iogear USB 2.0 Booster Extension Cable extends from the host and provides another female "A" connector for longer distance USB needs.
The cable is transparent to the host and the device and it is compatible with any O/S or USB accessory. It is ideal for applications that require distance, for example placing a printer in the office or home where more users have easier access. The cable is plug-and-play and requires no additional drivers to set up. The solution can also give you the ability to daisy-chain a maximum of three cables together in order to reach up to a total of 117' (35 m) of USB high speed connection.

Comments about Iogear 39' (11 m) USB 2.0 Booster Extension Cable:
We tried a USB extension that used RJ45 but the throughput was not enough to send HD video via a webcam. This extension works great. We recently purchased 2 more to daisy chain and run a HD webcam in a conference room. Works perfectly.

Comments about Iogear 39' (11 m) USB 2.0 Booster Extension Cable:
First of all when I was told that I could only use a 10 foot extention USB cabel or I would loose data on the transfer. That meant that my laptop would be right beside me when I shoot in teather mode, that ment no movment. I saw this on Scott Kelby's web suite as part of the gear that he uses. I looked into it further and found that you can join three cabels together for a 117 ft. with no data transfer lose that gives me alot of room to move around. I don't like cabels around my camera but the cost of a wireless transmitter $800. or 3 cabels [$] for the the amount that I would use the wireless the cost is not justified. I am impressed with this product I couldn't waite to try it out. It takes less then 3 seconds on my desktop and less then 4 seconds for my laptop with no data lose.I shoot in raw and used a Nikon D3X my D3S should be faster. I purchased 1 the first time and now I have purchased the second one. 78 ft. gives me lots movment.

Comments about Iogear 39' (11 m) USB 2.0 Booster Extension Cable:
They work great, easy to install. A cheap way to use a web cam as a security camera. Hooked all 3 of them together and placed my cam by the property line, and have a great security with sound.
