The Dulce Systems PRO DSqp Empty Chassis With PCIe x8 Host Bus Extender - Single is a 4-bay chassis and Host Bus Extender. The chassis holds four 3.5" SATA II 3Gb/s 7200 RPM disk drives and features a PCIe (8 lanes) interface. The PRO DSqp chassis implements the latest PCI-express Extender technology to provide fast, redundant storage with up to 8TB capacity. Its Host Bus Extender enables the extension of the computer's PCI-express signals to the PRO DSqp enclosure. It's capable of up to 8 lanes of the PCI-express speed, enabling the RAID controller to run at full speed - 20Gb/s.
The PRO DSqp chassis was designed with transportation in mind. The PRO DSqp chassis Quad Pack is easily removed from one PRO DSqp unit and inserted into another PRO DSqp Mini-Tower. Once inserted the array will appear on the desktop just as it was in the previous location. The PRO DSqp Quad Pack can also insert in the PRO DSqp Rackmount system.
The PRO DSqp chassis supports RAID 0, 1, 3, 5, 6 and JBOD modes. It's designed for use in performance-intensive professional environments and is certified for use with Final Cut Studio, Premiere and other popular editing suites. It supports ProRes 422, RED R3D & proxy, DV, DVCPRO HD, uncompressed SD/HD and 2K Film formats. Pro DSqp technology affords superior workflow and supports up to 11 real-time streams, depending on the video resolution. The all metal chassis provides for more efficient cooling and looks great amongst other high-end video gear. It's compatible with PC, Mac and Linux.

- The PRO DSqp can be expanded using the PRO EX PCI-e Expander (sold separately). The PRO EX can accommodate up to 7 PRO DSqp systems. If that's not enough, the PRO EX can be daisy chained to provide a virtually unlimited storage environment
