Porta Brace BK-2NR Backpack Camera Case, Medium (Midnight Black with Copper Trim)
The Porta Brace BK-2NR Backpack Camera Case, Medium (Midnight Black with Copper Trim) is a padded 1000 denier Cordura backpack made to carry various camcorders up to 12" long with a laptop computer and tripod. The case has a padded pocket that will hold a 17" laptop computer, side tripod pocket with a cinch strap, camera cradle and additional accessory pockets. It includes a PB-B6 pouch, PB-B9 pouch, PB-SMP small pillow, CC stuffer block and a white balance cCard. The backpack has extra foam padding and non-slip material on the shoulder, removable waist straps, and padded side support straps. A LI-GLW illumination strip light pocket is included.
This Porta Brace case is made in Vermont, USA.

When I saw the picture of this backpack I though it'll be just a regular size bag. It's massive! Which is great for my needs, but if you are expecting a regular size backpack you got another thing coming.
Offers good protection for your equipment and has a lot of pockets to store all sorts of accessories.

Amazing case. Just the right size, holds a serious camera (Red One) with some lenses, batteries, everything else you need. Even a tripod case on the side that will really hold a huge tripod. It works as a backpack, and it works just as well when you use it as a hand-carry case. Big pockets, PortaBrace quality that feels like military grade. Folds all the way open quickly with fast access to everything I need. Easy to pack it all in quickly too, without banging gear together. It comes with an interior case light! And one CS-B9 Stuff Sack. I bought three more of these and am glad I did. They hold lenses, a 7" video monitor, and don't take up significant extra space. Fast, strong, protective, and easy.

Sad to say, after purchasing this Porta Brace, I do not need to purchase any of their bags anymore, as I know this will outlast even the camera equipment inside it.
And all fit into the bag. Perfect for a long assignment. Pricey? Yes. But I'd rather pay top dollar for this, than to fork out cheap dollars many times over for a bag with less functionality.
Only gripe is that some airports will not allow in on board. But you can always point out that guitars are allowed on board, so why not this? It has worked for me several times.
