The Lomography Spinner 360° Panoramic Camera is a unique camera with a 25mm fixed focus lens. Take the Spinner in one hand, pull the cord with the other and release it. In a split second the camera spins 360° around its own axis and records everything in its path on a frame more than 4 times longer than a conventional landscape picture. The mechanism is powered with a rubber band drive, so no batteries are required. You can create up to 8 full 360° panoramas on a 36-exposure roll of film. The camera can work with any variety of 35mm film.
The camera has a cloudy aperture setting of f/8 and a sunny setting of f/16. There are 2 rotation speeds of 1/125 and 1/250 of a second - this becomes your shutter speed. These settings make the camera especially suitable for shooting outdoors in daylight. If you are in low light conditions (indoors, artificial light settings etc.) you can make the camera turn slower by releasing the cord slowly by hand. For long exposures hold the camera's handle in one hand and turn the camera with the other hand. This way you can manually adjust the shutter speed. With the Lomography Spinner 360°, quality panoramic photography has entered a whole new and exciting creative era, so experiment and have fun.

Comments about Lomography Spinner 360° Panoramic Camera:
Lomography recommended the Epson Perfection v330 scanner to scan the negatives produced by this camera. It is not compatible. They did say it would work with the Epson v700 (which costs $ 525).

Comments about Lomography Spinner 360° Panoramic Camera:
I use this camera when I want to capture the environment around me and do so lomo-style. I could probably take my dslr and take a countinous string of shots while I spin around like an idiot, or I could just use this. AND, I actually get to be in the picture!
This camera exposes the whole width of the film, giving you that artsy sprocket hole awesomeness.
What I like:
Fun and interesting 360 pano shots (sometimes more than 360) that is hard to reproduce digitally, and makes all my friends envious. It also makes my strictly DSLR friends appreciate film and the possibilities with photography other than full-auto digital.
What I don't like:
1. Cost:
-This camera should cost around $80, not $125.
-Film developing will cost $3-5 a pop.
-kind of necessary to have a photo scanner that can scan negatives, or use online scanning services.
2. Requires lots of light.
3. Limited focal range.
4. Tricky to compose.
Not really a con:
1. The fact that it eats through rolls is a necessary evil.
2. People will stare and wonder what you're about to do because this thing looks like a weapon.

Comments about Lomography Spinner 360° Panoramic Camera:
I've taken a few rolls of film with this camera and it does produce some interesting results, especially when you experiment with some of the variations they describe. However, the optical quality is not great, and really can't be used for anything more than just fun photos with friends.
Also, I can't believe that it costs this much when it really doesn't do anything but spin. It doesn't even have a shutter. And the lens hood can only be attached when the lens cap is off, which makes traveling with the lens hood (which is strangely a heavy metal piece when everything else is made of plastic) a pain.
Overall, a unique toy camera that is a lot of fun, but really not sure why it's priced this high when Holgas and the such are about a tenth of the price. You'll get tons of people asking questions about it, so it's a great conversation starter though and its fun to shoot with.

Comments about Lomography Spinner 360° Panoramic Camera:
simple , mechanical, easy to work.it gives interesting to work with results.
it is hard to get the one hour photo techs to understand what you need them to do.
scanning the negatives and playing with the images can give satisfying results, with different "feels" to the output.
how well will the camera hold up if used often?

Comments about Lomography Spinner 360° Panoramic Camera:
The concept behind this "gimmick" camera is extremely clever while at the same time very simple. Many very interesting possibilities. I bought it as a low cost experiment in panoramic film photography. Actually see how it can be used for a lot of different--"rule bending"--kinds of shots. It actually overshoots 360 degrees--not necessarily bad creatively, but does make estimating the number of shots on a roll of film a bit challenging.
