ASUS VE276Q 27" Widescreen LCD Computer Display
The VE276Q 27" Widescreen LCD Computer Display from ASUS is large-screen computer monitor with a wealth of input ports. You'll be able to connect it to your computer via VGA, DVI, DisplayPort, or HDMI. The monitor is capable of displaying 1080p video at native resolution, and can also output audio thanks to integrated stereo speakers.
The display features a 100,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 170°/160° viewing angles, 300cd/m² brightness, and support for 16.7 million colors. Its desktop stand supports tilt adjustment, and you have the option of mounting the display to a wall thanks to its standard VESA 100mm mounting pattern. It can also be secured via a standard Kensington security lock.

Bought this monitor about two weeks ago [...] It has worked wonders for me. Picture is absolutely smooth, and the colors are very vivid. Games and movies play with no ghosting of any sort. The controls to change the display's options are a little difficult to get used to, but they all work as they should. One thing you will notice right away is that this monitor is HUGE. Sure, most people would assume such considering it IS afterall a 27". But keep in mind that if you're the kind of guy that would -as I did- remove various things off my desk so as to make room for it, you'd want to make extra room. A lot. When I first sat down in front of thing after I set it up, I was immediately grasped by its size and picture quality. I bought the it to accommodate my 15" laptop. What some people don't realize, however, is that resolutions don't look the same on every single monitor. Both my 15" laptop monitor and the VE276Q display 1920x1080. But everything on my laptop's monitor appears much smaller. Everything on the VE276Q is blown up. This doesn't mean that the quality is taken away in the slightest bit, however. The bottom line is that if you're looking for a monitor that stretches your display out so that everything appears larger, the VE276Q is the biggest bang for your buck. But if you're looking for a monitor that will display a larger workspace, you should look for a monitor that can display a larger resolution.

I use the monitor in a dual display setup at home. Internet browsing, text work, and gaming. Set up was very smooth, looks good though initial setting was too bright. I did keep my previously purchased screen as the primary (ASUS V*266*)because the resolution was a bit higher and the VE276Q though wider seemed to cut off the duplicated image at top and bottom and merely stretched it a bit horizontally. Not a big problem, in general I'm happy with my new ASUS. Thanks !

I bought this monitor to be a replacement for my main display in a triple display setup. This thing exceeded my expextations. I have this as my main display a Samsung Syncmaster P2370HD TV/Monitor secondary and a Samsung Syncmaster 204B as the 3rd. This is for my main use as well as enhancing my multitrack studio. I can get so much more on screen now. I have this on a new Radeon 6850 with the displayport connection. I can get all 3 in Win 7 64, but have to use a 2nd ATI radeon (3400HD) for XP. The only things that would be nice would be a remote like my Syncmaster 2370HD. Otherwise I would highly recomend this. You get spoiled for life with this mush screen real-estate!

Using this with Pro Tools doing audio recording on a new Mac Pro. For my purposes, it works great. Bright, clear display. A bit utilitarian, but good clean design. A decent amount of display customization. Bugs me a little that the back light shows all around the edge. Not a showstopper, by any means. Adjustment is a tiny bit stiff. Hopefully that will work itself out as time goes on. Its not an Apple display, but at this price, its a great deal.

Wonderful color and contrast. I was reluctant to get the 27" but am glad I did because I had been using two monitors side by side. I bought this to go with my new Windows 7 computer.
For photography, CRT (tube) monitors are best because the image is ALWAYS the same, regardless of viewing angle -- any angle is the same.
LCD are best only from one angle, and it needs to be consistent for quality work. If I could afford it, I'd have to spend about $1000.00 for one that suits the demands of photographic editing and graphic design. That said, this is a great runner up.
Many options, including built-in speakers (which I don't use).
