Comments about Able Planet NC200 True Fidelity Foldable Noise Canceling Headphones (Black):
The quality was good when using them in a home environmnet. However, I use these headphones for their noise cancelling feature on a bus. During my commute to/from work, the music from my iPod skipped. It is not the iPod; those same songs were fine when played from home. I am deducing that the vibrations from the bus in conjunction with the noise cancelling technology caused the sound to be like continuously riding over RR tracks. I returned this product.

Got these ot watch movies on my IPad on the plane. They worked great. Flight out I was in back and the flight back I sat by the wing. It was so load I could not hear myself think..but when turned on all I heard was the movies. Felt a little pain around the ears, but I think that may go away as I use them more. Great headphones for the price.

Comments about Able Planet NC200 True Fidelity Foldable Noise Canceling Headphones (Black):
I use these headphones everyday at work. I sit at a desk for most of the day and get easily distracted when others are talking around me especially when I am trying to read or calculate. When I turn on the noise canceling function and then play white noise, I feel like I am by myself and my concentration goes through the roof. :) I also took it on the plane for my business trip and when I watched a movie, I couldn't hear hardly any of the jet noise. I also was able to turn on the audio recording from my phone and transcribe the recording. I didn't have ANY issues hearing the voices. I would recommend this product to anyone. I used to have in-earbuds to do cancel the noise but whenever I would eat, they would fall out. These are great!

Often times when you read these types of reviews, the reader doesn't get the benefit of sizing up the product in a direct comparison to a peer product/competitor. This review will be a little different.
My wife and I recently purchased two pairs of noise canceling headphones for use while traveling on planes. My wife purchased Able Planet's NC200 headphones, and I purchased Audio Technica's ANC1 headphones. Both headphones have roughly the same price point and are ranked very similarily in consumer/owner reviews - both getting 4 to 5 stars.
The NC200 is an "over the ear" model, while the NC1 is an "on the ear" model. We have used both headphones interchangably and found them to be both 4 star items. Differences - the "over the ear" design of the NC200 is slightly more comfortable than the ANC1's "on the ear" design, the NC200 has a separate volume control so you can adjust the volume without adjusting the volume on your MP3/Ipod, and the NC200 has a better/longer warranty. By contrast the ANC1 has generally better overall sound quality, better noise canceling, and less sound bleed than the NC200. In sum, the NC200 is good value for money and we would give it a "you pick'em" ranking in a head-to-head performance match-up with a peer product/competitor.
